Originally i agreed that Merrill should stay in school and make up for his mistake (whatever it was). But if he is not allowed to play immediately upon coming back to school I think he should leave school and play in the OHL. If he joined Plymouth now it would be the best OHL trade dead line pick up by far.
Merrill ain't going anywhere except Yost Ice Arena and will be in the line up TONIGHT. The suspension is now officially over per his teammates Travis Lynch, Alex Guptill, and Chris Brown on Twitter.
Game is on Fox Sports Detroit Plus channel at 7:35 p.m. ET.
Merrill tonight in Michigan's win over Lake superior: 2 assists, +3, 2 SOG
Also, Wohlberg had a solid game for Michigan tonight with a goal and two assists..
They got helpers on the ENG that sealed it. Nice touch that both of them were out there with a defensive zone draw while nursing a one goal lead. Recorded the game and watched part of it after the Devils/Panthers game, but didn't quite have the patience and fast forwarded through most of it. Michigan is playing an outdoor game at Ohio State next weekend, so hopefully that one gets TV coverage as well.
