Hagelin is a bigger prospect than you think. He's underrated on HF, but teams have seen him play in the NCAA for years now. Would be willing to bet you he's pretty coveted by other hockey teams.

I don't think he's a deal breaker. It depends on what else they are asking for.

If he becomes a centerpiece and we keep our top prospects then the trade isn't as bad.

If he's one of 3 centerpieces and we lose 2 other key pieces then I'd rather hold onto the pieces and not get fleeced.

Dubi
Hagelin
Erixon

Good news is that the Ranger's appear to be going after Ryan but the bad news is it seems like to much to give up.

I would be willing to deal Dubi(just as everyone would),
Maybe Erixon(real hard to shallow)
But not Hagelin(even after only 3 games I think every Ranger's fan is starting to fall in love with)
Maybe if we switched to Thomas instead of Hagelin.

Like I said I know it's 3 party info but even if it's true would you or do you think that's to much to give if let's say it's---Dubi,Erixon and Hagelin.

That's a freakin steal. If we can make a trade and keep Kreider in NY we're set.

We already have McDonagh, Girardi, Sauer, Staal, and MDZ. Losing Erixon really isn't that big of a deal.

I love Hagelin (as you can see), but we're talking about Bobb Ryan, here.

3 full NHL seasons. 34, 35, and 34 goals in those seasons. 4th in the league in ES points last year.

Give him the top PP time he deserves and he's easily a PPG IMO.

I don't see us moving Erixon. We all know that his father pulled some strings to get him on the Rangers. I would be pretty surprised to see us move him right now. Perhaps in a few years. Now? Just don't see it.

He may be one of the guys that is untouchable (and for reasons other than overall talent level and potential).

I would do Dubinsky, Del Zotto and a second rounder for Ryan

Do you think the Ducks do that?

I have some awesome pineapple chips for him, already. I think that's enough.

Plus, he can drink some of the Apple Pie Moonshine I made.

You just can't move any of our starting defensemen (minus Eminger and Woywitka) right now. We don't have any NHL-ready depth.

That's what I said and was told they rather have Erixon then MDZ--maybe because they would pair him with Fowler and have a top rated defensive pair for years to come.

I'm all for moving Thomas. I move Thomas every day of the week and twice on Sundays before I move Hagelin.

Thomas is a good prospect as well and the best pure scoring prospect we have. You want to throw him in with a first rounder too? Hagelin's awesome and I love him as a die hard Michigan fan, but really? 3 games in the NHL and all of a sudden he's Gretzky

Did I just hear Mike Milbury say a little 10 year old playing against a midget goalie has great poise with the puck? I absolutely find it hilarious that they are analyzing the mini 1-on-1 shootout...
