Well, that's an interesting development.

A lot of the guys on the Ducks boards seem to be looking for Ryan to be moved off that line for the same reason we moved Richards off of Gaborik's line... to spread around the offense. Maybe Boudreau will do that and Ryan will be happier for it.

I've been dreading the price the Rangers were going to pay since this morning. I'm glad that's not an issue anymore.

They would make the deal because they conclude as many of us have that this is good value for Ryan and two because they need assets. Their assets are too concentrated and this deal creates more balance in their lineup.

I'm just going to go right ahead and blame Montreal for this potential trade falling apart.

Two weeks. Two screw-jobs.

Instead of that rather easy fix, they chose to offer up their star forward. That tells me he's just as available today as he was yesterday, but they want more than they were offered.
spot on. why even entertain offers for Ryan if it was just a coaching issue. The move with BB just buys some time.

good job buddy

If the solution in Anaheim was as simple as making a coaching change, why didn't they do that in the first place? There have been reports that Anaheim has been shopping Ryan for weeks. This sounds like a Burke type move where they want teams to improve their packages.

It was fun while it lasted. Hey, maybe if the Ducks are still struggling by the deadline we can have this much fun again?

I dont think the door is completely shut on this. I dont see a coaching change really making that drastic of a difference. It is the personnel that has let the Ducks fans down. If they continue to suck, Ryan is their best asset to trade.

If the deadline comes, the Ducks still suck, and Ryan isnt available then my next choice is Selanne.

I think the rumours will be shut down for a short period of time, and they should be. The Ducks are going to give Boudreau a shot with this team to see if he can get anything going, and if it still isn't working....back to rumour mill.

almost 40 pages in < a day and a half!!!

What about this:
instead of giving up MDZ, who is mostly playing well, and with Dubi not a good match for Ducks as to Anaheim cap, and us not having extra prospect Ds to give (we're keeping McIlrath) how about a three way?

Dubi to LA for one of ample D + picks,
which is sent to Anaheim for Ryan
Rangers add Christian Thomas to Ducks...

I think Carlyle had been extended 3 years this past off season. Eating 3 years was not what they wanted to do.

Ouch. Guess this makes their financial problems that much worse. Now they're paying Boudreau AND Carlyle.

There's a post on the Habs board speculating on a possible trade for Iginla. There's no real sources but there might be something to it. Wouldn't surprise me if Sather was in on it somehow.

Brassard is requesting a trade, according to Kypreos - anyone see the statement that Walsh released regarding the Jackets' handling of Brassard? Took a shot at Scottie Arniel. If he isn't traded, I'd be surprised.

I'd take him. Adds another offensively talented forward to the group.

Hagelin-Brassard-Boyle

I like that as a third line.

Made a mistake, the rumour posted was from a fake Kyper account - the statement released actually happened, however.

He's probably on the trading block. He's been scratched in something like 6 of the last 8 CLB games.
