The Ice Tigers were close to being bankrupt this summer, so I guess they take what they can get.

Actually, I was wrong when it comes to Hamburg's jerseys.
There are three jerseys, two home and one away.

This one ( http://www.hamburg-freezers.de/inhal...41_3_popup.gif ), the one which I showed pictures of earlier, is the home-jersey in the beginning of the season.

This one ( http://www.hamburg-freezers.de/inhal...41_1_popup.gif ) is the regular home-jersey, which they will wear later on.

And this one ( http://www.hamburg-freezers.de/inhal...41_2_popup.gif ) is the road jersey.

Without having seen the real versions of the last two, I still would say that they look better than the grey one.

Mannheim signed Colin Forbes to a contract. The czech defender Robert Kantor will ariive this week for a try-out.

The Saxonia Foxes signed David Vyborny to a one-game contract (funny, didn´t they do the same with Frantisek Musil back in 94/95?).

The Berlin Polarbears signed Chris Heid while Krefeld did agree to terms with Ray DiLauro. Chris Herperger wanted out of Krefeld and so they released him from his duties (according to the media Herperger and Selivanov didn´t get along that well).

Jeff Panzer is the newest member of the team in Düsseldorf along with Nils Antons.

Rene Corbet continues to play in Mannheim. I think he had extended his contract to 2008 last year.
Anthony Aquino left Mannheim and it's still unknown where he'll play next season.

Kurtz was signed with Wolfsburg in Germany's 2nd leauge, but he left the team because he wanted to take a shot for a NHL-spot.
Matt Kinch has signed a deal with Straubing.

Vyborny will only play for the Foxes in a pre-season game against his old club Sparta Prague. It's just for fun. The guy could pay off the entire 06-07 Weißwasser roster three times from his next season alone. *g*

english coverage

not too jump topic....but is there a website that covers DEL hockey in english. I went to the prohockey DE website , however it still has the page from April 26 of last season . Does the coverage not begin until after the season starts....or is there an up to date site with pre-season coverage. Thanks!!!!!!

But it´s also not "up to date"...even when the season has started there are only a few articles in english...better than nothing...

I think the guy who runs the site last year had some problems where he couldn't update it on a regular basis. Usually it's pretty good. I'm hoping for regular updates this year.

Sorry, I'm so busy with drafting and thinking and drafting all day that even I do have no idea what's going on around the league.

Btw .. somebodys got some DEL news for me please ?!?

Edit: I have one ... Blake Sloan signed with the Eagles Mannheim ... damn I always liked a player like Sloan due to his heart and soul style of play - well that's over now!

So Augsburg changed their logo huh? It'd be nice to see one of the Panther teams change their name entirely... or at least call themselves the Black Panthers or something.

The only way is to order it directly at the club's fan shop or office.
What jersey are you looking for?

I suppose Frankfurt will be the only team losing in the first round, giving the cup the importance, that it deserves: none.

Exactly How is Mr. Lebeau coming along? Wasn't his knee a bit of a problem?

Good good he was ... no Lebeau seems to be fine.

Armstrong is the thing worrying a bit ... he was dominant last week and yesterday. Assissted on two goals until Van Impe took him out.
Seems to be the Dman we were lacking last season. On Lions page they say 10 days .. other sources rumoring something up to six weeks - that's the worst case szenario as it seems.

btw: we beat Duesseldorf 3-2

Well, I was hoping there was a cheaper way. I find jerseys on ebay for like 5 Euros...

I want a Kolner Haie jersey.
