http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=381610

Might be a similar contract for Seguin?

If Hedman makes just as much as Seguin I will laugh and be happy (for us)

"Similar" in the sense that both contracts will be printed on paper.

Chiarelli can be the Mayor if he gets Seguin to sign for that contract.

How does Hedman have ZERO assists playing 23 minutes a night? lol, you'd think he would have stumbled into one by this point, no?

I like Hedman a lot and I think this will end up being a VERY solid deal for the Lightning.

Agreed, I thought this was a good deal for TB. Hedman has been poor this year but so has most of the rest of the team. Must be the ECF hangover.

Seguin will most likely have Kane, Toews, Tavares, Duchene and Stamkos as comparable instead of Hedman...

Unless one of his legs falls off and he goes partially blind (or a massive drop off in play from here through the end of next season), I don't think you're going to see Seguin getting only 4mil a season when he gets his next deal.

I'd be willing to guess he's going to get 5.5-6.5 per year with his next deal if he keeps playing the way he is.

Give it a year or two, he's going to live up to that contract with ease.

More like a bad defense getting more and more exposed.

If anyone thinks the Bruins are weak on defense, take a good look at the Lightning roster and what their coach has to work with. It's pretty easy to tell why Guy Boucher has one of the most explosive offensive cores in hockey playing the 1-3-1 when you see what they have on D.

That's the price you have for remunerating all of Lecavalier, Stamkos, and St. Louis handsomely for their services.
