Official Sens 2012 Draft Watch
Looks like it's gonna be a boring rest of the summer so I think it will help pass the time until training camp if we start this talk just a bit early.
Early indications are that this draft will be deeper than the 2011 draft with some potential superstar talent at the top. It has a wealth of high-end defensemen in the first round and could go down as one of the best drafts ever.
Early Rankings:
FC releases preliminary ranking for 2012
ISS 2012 Top NHL Draft Prospects
2012 NHL Draft Top-100 (Combined from RLR, FC and ISS)
Early Mock Draft:
MyNHLDraft
Current 2012 draft picks owned
1st round
2nd round
3rd round
3rd round (Nashville)
4th round
5th round
6th round
7th round

A bit early to talk about this draft, but if we could land a top 5 pick here we could land a very good player. On a side note how do pronounce Frk's name?

Also, I lock in my pick right now for Frk's nickname as Vowel.

Just filter the list to Swedes and you have our tentative draft list. Also, I look forward to drafting 30th overall.
All kidding aside, I think next year should be an interesting draft for Ottawa. Perhaps we'll see a new goalie into the mix and hopefully get some new star-power. I don't know anything about these prospects but I'm sure that'll change by the end of the season!

As long as you don't change your name to one of them, I'm cool with that.

Anyone agree on a third last overall finish predicted by MyNHLDraft and landing Grigorenko with our top pick? Not sure I'd draft a Russian that high, but if he comes over to Quebec next year, I'll be more for drafting him.

The sens don't have any assets left to trade for 1st round draft picks.
Waaayyyyy too early for this thread. The rankings are gonna change 1,000,000,000 times before the draft.

I know we already have great depth at centre but I really like Galchenyuk and Grigorenko.
Grigorenko may suffer from the Russian factor but if he makes it into this league, he would buttrape our division.
EDIT: Ok, I'll admit this is way early, but check out this monster

Draft year is 2018

Love this kid so much...
Also in terms of the draft, I love talking about it, but if I start now, I think I'll be sick of talking about it in 11 months...
