Went last night. The lineups were a mess and monkey could have organized it better.

Very few gates open, line was wrapped around the stadium and the line didn't move. Thankfully I have a friend who works with the ticats and this game part time and he let me in.

The seats I had were ok. The $100 seats are available so today I'm just going to move up there seeing as its barren.

Also the announcer at the alumni game was trying way to hard to be funny. No one really laughed. The fans behind me though were quite funny at least and had a lot of Simpsons references.

No doubt you were standing in line with all of the stupid people who didn't know that there were lines of about six people around the corner. Everyone that went in where there was no lineup were laughing at the people standing in the line stretching around the fence.

WTF were you people thinking?

Was flipping back and forth between this and the KHL All-Star game on TSN2. Great to see the Marlies pull off a win and a great job by the City of Hamilton in pulling off this event.

Well, I will happily admit I was wrong. I thought this thing might have disaster written all over it given the slow ticket sales in the first few months and the Bulldogs average attendance at Copps. Congrats! 20,000 is excellent for an AHL game.

By the way, was the crowd pro-Marlies or pro-Bulldogs or evenly split?

Basically it was a bunch of confused Leaf fans. (Myself included)

I cheered for the Marlies because I know most of the players, there were mostly Bulldogs fans though. Anyone wearing a Habs jersey was obviously going for the Bulldogs.

And me as well.. Bulldogs vs Marlies just doesn't have the same intensity as a TiCats Argos game but was a lot of fun.. Really enjoyed watching hockey being played outdoors.

Only minus
listening to them do the Red Sox "sweet Caroline" song.. As a Jays fan that was just wrong.

DRonald, From looking at the pictures you posted I'd say I was probably just to the right of you.. Pretty close on the row too.

If you heard a 12 year old screaming Toronto Sucks.. That was my nephew... He makes me so proud lol

I was wearing a Leafs Jersey and a Leafs touque. I saw a little boy saying, "Leafs suck" I was the dude that stood up after each goal near the end of the third yelling, "MARLIES, YEAH GO MARLIES." I got some looks from some people, haha. Were you by me? Because just before I went down the stairs a boy looked at me and said "Leafs suck" so I pointed at him and continued yelling, "Go marlies!" Lol.

Awesome. Thanks for posting the photos dronald. Seeing those old names on the banners, Bernie Faloney etc sure brought some old memories. Just out of curiosity, who played in the Alumni Game, who were the musical acts & what was the temperature?... Good food?.

I'm impressed. Expected 12-15K for this game, but it blew away expectations. Good on you Hamilton.

Glad the marlies won though.

What a great time! So much going on. What a party.

Didn't expect this event to be so fun and memorable.

BTW, most fans were cheering for the Bulldogs although the Marlie fans were well represented. Even saw people form Buffalo there today.

Was a good game. Food was expensive as **** but I brought in some food .

Was a surprisingly quiet crowd for 20 000 though. I know there isn't the echo that an arena has but even at Ticat games it's loud.
