Crosby has more points than Semin.

Interesting tweet from McNally earlier this morning.

Quote:
#Caps room was bedlam just now as players literally sprinted out of room to get to a team meeting on time. Haven't seen that...uh...ever

A lot has changed since they last faced Sidney Crosby at the Winter Classic. Three members of the Capitals organization that all had significant roles in that victory are all history now. David Steckel, Eric Fehr and Bruce Boudreau.

Erskine needs to tune someone up tonight like he did Rupp.

Carlzner needs to be in together and playing well tomorrow. Also I'm hoping to see a little more structure on the break out.

Other wise hit some Penguins show some effort and I'm decently happy

We're used to it. A championship is going to be so sweet some day. I've been a Caps fan since 1983-84 season. I missed the years before where they were terrible in the NHL. I was just a kid and I remember I started liking them due to living at Ft Belvoir and I liked the uniforms. Then as I watched more games I just became hooked. I would have never thought in my life the Caps would be the premiere sports ticket in D.C. DH said it the other day about having good support, but nothing like it is today. I still get ticked when the media, especially NBC etc talk about us. More good times to come.

I'm hoping I don't get blacked out thanks to the NHL network. Hopefully someone will post a feed link. One negative about NHL Game center is they will blackout too. I don't remember Center Ice doing that.

If his shoulder is up to the job I would expect he'll go with Asham tonight.

I'm guessing they were used to being late with Boudreau and it being okay.

People expected the Caps to go after Bradley because of his Semin comments. I expect Asham to go because it's his job. I don't expect him to be challenged immediately as if to answer for the Beagle thing. If he is, that's the Hunter factor showing up already and I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Someone making comments about a former teammate is a lot different than someone being knocked out cold, and then having the person who did it pretty much stand over them and mock them with no remorse. If someone doesn't take care of that tonight then that is an issue.

Yeah. I think it's made less likely by the fact that Hunter wasn't here for the last game, but we'll see.

From Corey's twitter:

So @ESPN_Burnside asks #Pens Bylsma about record vs #Caps. He says "Thank you." Bob Errey coughs "Cup" and Bylsma says "Thank you."
God I hate that team.

Errey is a tool but it's hard to hate Bylsma. He's class. I'm sure Neuvy feels a little different.

Of course it's different, but some regulars here thought (foolishly) that Bradley would be challenged.

Not a whole lot of fighting spirit on this team (pugilistically or otherwise). I'll be pleasantly surprised if they challenge Asham immediately.

I hated Errey as a player (albiet he was an excellent roleplayer) but hate him even more as a color analyst for them. Everytime I watched their broadcasts it was full of professionalism..errr..uhhh

they fit right in the with the lowest common denominator fans that sometimes root for that lot.

Damn, never thought Bylsma was the arrogant type but that comment is pretty douchey for a coach to make.
