Hate the fact we hired Boudreau though. He's had some powerhouse teams the past few years but could never get out of the second round. He'll be a good band-aid and we should go on a tear sometime soon but his effectiveness will wear off fast IMO.
they didnt get out of the 2nd round due to circumstances Boudreau had NO control over, such as epic goaltending by Halak and his best players being turds in the playoffs, McPhee never got him a shutdown D OR a reliable goalie!

Have you even watched his team and the lineups and cheapshots his team receive? He was given an enforcer finally by Mcphee and refused to play him. He is known by most as a soft team coach

Also good to know that BB always had good things to say about the players on this team whenever we played the Caps. Should be interesting.

Not liking this. We fired the wrong dude.

The only silver lining is that samuelli might be ruling to open the walker a but more to get this team back in the PO.

I expect must is next if the team misses the PO.

Because it makes so much sense to play DJ "can't play hockey" King when guys like Shelley, Boogeyman, and Godard were being scratched...at least Parros can play.

can someone tell me WTF is up with all this sbisa UNLEASHED!! like seriously? hes not an offensive defenseman.. hes a physical defensive defenseman with a decent first pass.. if BB lets sbisa do whatever he wants hes gonna be in over his head committing ugly awful turnovers all over the place..

we need olympic sbisa who was great defensively and kept his game very simple..
god i seriously hate this signing.. we aren't built as a run and gun team.. tonight was a perfect example of what type of team we are.. an aggressive hungry forechecking team causing turnovers..

fml.. just fml.. at least RC gets paid.. i hope he gets a solid coaching job in the eastern conference.. if its in the west i feel like we're going to get abused.

What kind of off hand comment is that?

And you don't play tough guys just because they are tough. But of course you're smarter than paid professionals.

Look, we have a coach that has the balls to bench the team superstar.

If Getzlaf coasts, he'll be planted on the bench, this type of accountability is desperately needed.

Carlyle would never ever reprimand any veterans

Ya BB has his faults but I'd say he's a pretty solid fit

When he came in Backstrom, Laich, Fleischmann and Fehr were all borderline NHL players struggling with confidence issues, Immediately he turned that all around. A lot of player owe there careers to Bruce.

If I'm the Ducks I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have come in and develop players like Fowler, Sbisa, Schultz, Holland, Palmieri, Mcmillan and Vaatanen.
He just develops prospects well.

If the lazy with BB have problems, mean that the target trade is now on Getzlaf?

Washingtons bottom 6 this year had grit we wish we had.

Hendricks, Chimaera, Laich, Ward and so on

funny! Sbisa was a beast offensively in the olympics, in U20 tourneys and in JR hockey! Carlyle would put him in the doghouse if he dared try to create offense! let's see how this kid does not having to worry about being benched all the time!

commit more boneheaded turnovers that we've seen from him before?

Bb has no playoff success despite Four division titles with the Caps. What makes Bb better then RC? This hire is bad and I'm not the only one saying this. Not only is this bad but I'm sure Murray hired him to shake things up and protect his own ass. I won't be surprised if he's fired by trade deadline or end of season, this isn't a long time hire.

His team was cheapshotted non stop and his gm overpaid to get a deterrent who BB never played. Theres a reason Dale Hunter was hired who is the complete opposite of this clown

I stopped believing in Carlyle so change is good.

Nope Murray will be gone and the Samuelis and management will start from scratch....I was hoping for this at the end of this season so we can have a fresh start with RPG.

Did I say BB is better than RC?

..

Yeah Murray hired him to save his ass. He also did it shake up the team and hope they get back to their winning ways. It's better than trading away RPG and allowing this team to fail.

I have wanted them both to get fired since they don't seem to working well together and it's obvious some of the players aren't listening to RC and the system he teaches anymore so what would you want, that to continue happening?

All of the people so happy with this hire will eat their words soon enough there will be a run which was gonna happen regardless with Carlyle but this team will never win a cup or get passed the 2nd round as long as this clown is coaching

I like tough hockey and I miss the old Ducks...but reality was that Bob has made the team soft and these players just didn't fit RC's system well... Boudreau probably will do better job now! I hope F-Bomb realizes that the fanbase wants some toughness also!

This franchise may have never won the cup again with Carlyle as the coach. You know how hard it is to win the cup?

Nice point though.

I was just about to lay my head down to go to sleep, and decided to check my phone one more time for any texts, and BAM, I can't sleep now.

I'm going to miss the way Randy nerviously scratched his head during games.
