RIP random_line_generator*

On a serious note... thank you for bringing the cup to Anaheim. He had a good run here and I hope he doesn't get another job in the western conference.

Best of luck RC and thanks for the Cup! Won't be long until he is back at the Ponda Center.

Thank you very much RC. Top 3 coach in the entire league for me even this season. Demanding much but IMHO that's exactly what made this team so strong in the playoffs. Be physically prepared when it counts most.

There will be one very lucky team in the near future. Wish him all the best! Murray made a big mistake here. Although I believe that the troika of RGP played a strong part of demoting RC in the room. I'm not sure about all the circumstances but

1. I think there has not been a good offer for Bobby to pull this trigger
2. I believe that ownership had something to say
3. I believe that Murray had no other idea what to do

I said it before, the coach is an important piece, maybe even more important than a star player but unfortunately he is the once you can change most easily. For me as a long time Ducks fan this is a sad moment.

Being a nostalgic person, I'm sad to see Carlyle go after all these years. Meanwhile It's exciting to see how this will turn out. And while Bruce might be a decent coach, I can't stand him, and I'm not sure if the players will either.

Thanks for the Cup and some good years Randy!

Yup, als long as the players did what he wanted the team was highly competitive. And you can not deny that the Ducks usually played the strongest hockey in spring. Those things alone make him top 3 for me. Sure he has many flaws but RC is a winning coach.

It won't be long for Randy Carlyle to find a job. He is a good coach.

Financial question for everyone: If RC is hired as a head coach somewhere else, do the Ducks have to continue paying his contract? Or was there just a one time buyout of Randy?

I'm not too keen on how NHL contracts work and was hoping someone would know.....

About Anaheim now paying two coaches, it was pointed out to me that if Carlyle gets hired elsewhere -- Ducks won't have to worry about that.

Only if this happened last year Carlyle...

One of my favorite coaches and underrated coaches in NHL.

He won't last a week on open market.

Randy did a great job here. Enough that I don't really feel bad about the Babcock thing. That's some high praise.

He will be picked up soon.

You dont get many oppertunities to coach in the NHL. he can get with a team and coach for another 10 years instead of living off a 3 year contract and not doing what he loves.
