Sharks 4-3

Demers, Vlasic, Boyle, McGinn
Desharnais, Leblanc, Darche

Basically everyone who can speak french

Edit : Ok I might have went too fast, Weber can talk french I remember hearing him in some interviews during intermissions and I guess maybe Diaz can too. Mitchell's from QC but can't IIRC ? And McGinn I hear Randy and Drew say he could I think.

Quebec born players seem to play well when against the Canadiens so I guess I'll have at least one player right

6-3 Sharks in a statement game.
Marleau, Cooter(2), Boyle, Winchester, Havlat
Gionta, Suban(PP), Cammalleri

They will be physical and abuse the Habs due to grumpiness form their most recent losses. Habs will get their 3rd goal late in the game and the result should have been 6-2.

Only 5 points out of 5th, it's not like they are the Blue Jackets or anything.

I think it's still too early to really use current standings as a benchmark. After all, we're sitting in 9th in the west right now

Ok fair enough, regardless of standings, Montreal is playing pretty mediocre. When I think of statement games, I think of a team beating an elite team.

While the Sharks may be in 9th, they're only 6 points out of 1st, playing 21 games. Compared to 24 and 25 games that nearly everyone else in the West has played.

So yeah, not convinced this could be statement game in the least.

You know Desi's name is not pronounced in a french way right?

If the Sharks come out and dominate for 3 periods and totally annihilate the Habs..would that not be a statement? I think it would.

I don't. It would be a good win in December against an average team. If it was a Boston, Pittsburgh ect, sure.

We can agree do disagree.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I don't think it's a statement game either.

I just don't think looking at standings to form a judgement on how good a team is, is really worthwhile at this point of the season.

I'm guessing it should be a low scoring affair since the Habs seem to be able to kill penalties, so....

SNOG

Sharks 2 Habs 0

Havlat and Clowe score.

Please, the Sharks are and have been an elite team for a while. They make statement games when playing other elite teams. No other teams around the league are gonna look at us and say "WHOA! The Sharks just decimated the Habs 6-0, at home." Better watch out for them now!

I predict Stubban slewfoots Couture and Clowe gets a game misconduct (after already having scored a goal)

A lot of people mispronounce the French names, but I've never heard of the correct pronunciation of Desjardins being anything except Day-zhar-dah. Has he said it's Duh-zhar-din? Because that just seems very strange to me.

No but following back to back losses and dominating an opponent would to me be making a statement. Let's not forget that this team sometimes will have a tendency to play down to it's opponents level and get beat.
