Your favorite Non-Penguin Player

Current NHL players only. Curious to see which players other Penguin fans watch/would love to have on the team.

For me it is Taylor Hall. Young, fast and has quite the quick wrister.
Expecting him to be a consistent 30-40 goal scorer especially on a line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for the future.

2) Giroux - tough pill to swallow just cause of who he plays for but been watchin him since team canada world juniors

Jordan Eberle - Complete player who produces in the clutch. He would be a perfect winger for Sid, he seems to be the kind of complimentary player who does very well with superstar linemate. He reminds me a little of Mark Recchi in that sense.

Jonathan Toews - In a nutshell, he is a "Crosby-lite".

Zach Parise: Most complete winger in the game, IMO, and the total package in terms of leadership and intangibles.

Shea Weber/Duncan Keith/Getzlaf/Perry/Ryan/Parise

Those are guys I love watching play. Especially the dmen. They play the game right and it's very fun to watch.

Simon Gagne was one of my favorite players when he played in Philly. I still don't know if there were many more electric players in the early-mid 2000's than him.

Claude Giroux is cut from the exact same cloth. Thoroughly enjoy watching that guy

None that I would actively cheer for, but my favorite to watch is Datsyuk.

F: David Backes - Doesn't get enough credit around the league because he plays in St. Louis, I consider him the total package as far as having the most complete game of any player in hockey. He plays and plays well in all situations, he has impeccable leadership qualities, he hits like a truck and would likely fight anyone. He's been an awesome captain for the Blues and things will only get better under Hitch. I think of him as being like Jordan Staal in Brooks Orpik's body.

D: Shea Weber - No explanation necessary, best all around D-Man in hockey. Cannon shot is what he's known for but he is exceptionally skilled in shooting the puck every other way as well. Heavy hitter known for playing defense like a hungry grizzly protecting its cubs.

G: Jaroslav Halak - I've been high on this guy for about two years now, play has faltered since going to St. Louis but has improved under Hitch. Play in 2010 Olympics and ECQF vs. Caps has been burned into my memory for good reason. As a goalie myself I love his style of pads and gloves, nice paint on masks as well.

Jeff Skinner - so fun to watch, remind of Crosby-lite in some sense
Ryan/Getzlaf/Perry - can be so dominate at times while playing a physical style
Clutterbuck - physical
Marchand - such a little pest
Jamie Benn
Alex Pietrangelo

Neal with it. . .

Giroux, Marchand, Skinner, and EJ are some players I've paid the most attention to the last few years.

After the Pens' game against St Louis, I'll be watching a lot more of Ian Cole.

F: Martin St. Louis, Marian Hossa, Anze Kopitar
D: Shea Weber, Zdeno Chara (for some odd reason I love this goofy looking man)
G: Tim Thomas (so entertaining to watch)

Who would I want on our team? Most any elite player fits that bill.

Who is my favorite? Datsyuk or Kesler, or the Bruins as a whole as they are my original home team.

I've been enjoying the emergence of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

St. Louis, Selanne, Datsyuk and Kesler are fun to watch.

I also kinda keep an eye on Avery. Not because he's a favorite, but because my son is a huuuuuuuuge Devils/Brodeur fan and it's one stop troll shopping.
