The Bergenheim hit didn't bother me too much, but Kopecky is a piece of ****.
Yeah, not much wrong with that hit. It looked more like the shoulder rolled off and may have caught Richards on the chin but nothing dirty or intent to injure.
Holding my breath. Richards seems like the kind of guy they need to tie down and lock him into the room to keep him from the ice. Hopefully he is healthy. No risks, he is the longest signed King.

No problem with the Berg hit, that's Hockey. Richards looks like his chin might have caught some of that.
I hope he is ok, Kings can't afford to lose him or Willie.
Good game I like the way the Kings responded in the third, Also Brown looked like a different player on LW. He just needs to stay there.
Florida looked real tired in the Third, so did the Kings. But still that's the type of team you want to be. A team that hits everything, and Grinds opponents into dust.
there is getting in a goalies head (see Avery/Brodeur) then there is firing up a goalie so he goes into rage steroid mode (see Thomas/Vancouver finals). Quick seems like #2
I think Quick handled himself great but I cant blame Kopecky for trying.
Quick was obviously rattled in the series against Vancouver, but that hasn't really happened since. He's changed. A lot. I love how he gives back whatever he gets. A goalie fight is coming soon from this guy.
He looked good with Gagne and Williams on his wings.
Yup they had those 3 chances in the 30 seconds they were on the ice together, and then he went right back to Stoll. Could've been that veteran issue, or it could be that Murray was doing the old, "No offense with a lead, let's just sit on it" thing again.
It's cool to see on the Panther's board the recognition of Quicker. It's great to see more people, especially those on the east coast, take notice of just how awesome he is.
They're super precautionary with possible concussions anymore which is a good thing. Richards didn't go down after the hit or anything so hopefully they're just being careful. Crossing my fingers.
Hoping the Mitchell injury is also minor, too. Hate losing defensemen.
And this is what pisses me off about post lockout hockey. In the old days, if someone did something to your players, you could start a fight with them whether they liked or not. You had to atone for your actions. Now guys can do things and sometimes there is no retribution depending on the refs. And guys just run away and hide and there's nothing you can do or else risk an instigator penalty.

Quick will get into at least 1 fight before his career is over.

It could also be that Terry Murray is a clueless dick.
EDIT: Which you kind of said at the end of your post.

Doughty never went down either last season when he suffered his concussion. You just never know. I'm sure the Kings were just taking precautions by shutting him down tonight. Hopefully he feels alright tomorrow, which is probably why we won't be getting an update tonight on his condition. Wait and see. Hope he's ok...
Not only did bergenheim catch Richards with the first shot, right after richards went after him bergenheim elbowed him again , right in the lips.....guy was rattled from the first one...and the second shot didnt help, you could see he was dazed in the penalty box...
Hope he just got rattled and it was a precautionary reason to not let him return, 2 years ago he would have come back...

Very true. Versteeg was elbowed Tuesday in Carolina and had his nose broken. The offender was challenged numerous times to no avail.
I'm sure you would have liked to drop gloves with kopescky or berg, but like Tuesday in a close game can't risk it post lockout.
The replay did look like a lot of chin, for sure. When I first saw it, the way that Richards kind of slouched over, I thought it was his shoulder.
He was probably seeing little panthers circling his head.
If you look at the hit again, watch what happens after as he chases down Bergenheim. He actual take another shot to the back of his head right before Stoll and everyone jumps in.
#LAKings Westgarth on physicality 2nt: ' Hockey players have long memories and we look forward to playing them in Florida later this season'
'Ore from #LAKings Westgarth - 'When their player takes a bit of a run at one of our better players it pisses everybody off'
Yep, that one is gonna be a little crazy. Doubt very much the grudge is going to end with two guys fighting each other in the first minute or two of the game.
