2-1 Avs. EJ scores with 7 seconds left in regulation to give COL the "W".

Well, I guess I should look at the lineup before predicting who scores, haha. 2-0 blues now.

EJ has been out with a groin injury. He was expected to make his return tonight but so far there has been official word. As of right now I would say its 50/50. If he plays I will update the GDT.

I've been standings watching for a while and I can't believe its still so close. I think its a testament to how great the CBS is. whether we play the panthers/cyotes or Montreal/Detroit there are no easy points and every point matters. This parity makes every game exciting for me and I think for the players too.
One reason I only watch the NBA postseason us because there is finally some even match UPS. Most games in the regular season are over before they start.

Yeah, I hear you. I grew up watching the Blues of the mid-late 90s and I just sort of took it for granted every year that they would be in that 4th-6th seed and counted down the months til the playoffs. It's been generally rough to be a Blues fan in the post-lockout era, but it's given me a newfound appreciation for the importance of every regular season game. The parity in the West is incredible and beating a bottom-5 team has become every bit as important as beating a divisional rival.

The forward lines look to me like a return of Perron bumps D'Agostini down to the 3rd line, back to the right side, and bumps Langenbrunner to the 4th line. Then when/if McDonald returns, you get Sobotka on the 4th line, too. That would be one hell of a line-up.

I`m just glad that we can look forward to the return of #57 and get 2 scoring-lines going

I'm looking ahead one day, I think, to Perron's return. D'Agostini on the 3rd line, and Langenbrunner on the 4th line speaks to the depth of the Blues. That's still a line-up with 2 projected forwards starters out (Crombeen, McDonald). Frankly, I'm not convinced Crombeen cracks this top 12 when fully healthy.

Sobotka has been playing very well, and has a lot of Alex Steen in him. At least two game-winning passes I can count in the last several games. To have the luxury of a guy like that being a 3/4 liner bodes well.

I'm enjoying the Blues' run. But I would love to see a fully healthy forward corps, just because I think those 4 lines will strike fear into most teams.

Anybody else have a bad feeling of tonight and tomorrow's games? I can't wait to watch them, but eventually the Blues have to get knocked back down to earth, right?

No. Like I said in the Washinging GDT, I am convinced that there is a rally squirrel running around the STC somewhere and is part of the reason why this team has been nearly unbeatable.

We're going to win tonight and tomorrow night.

I'm convinced the Opera House is our rally squirrel. Finally renovating it broke the curse.

They just own the puck too well right now, a team is going to have to win on pure chances and breakaway goals to get a lead on us. There's a better chance of the goalies blowing a tire than the team suddenly screwing up a system that has them winning games and our top line scoring every night.

Hopefully Stewie and Shatty have big games. I think Stewart gets a goal.

It's their first time back at the Pepsi Center, so they're going to be pumped up.

Let's win this tonight, and then don't even get me started on tomorrow night's game....I am so pumped up for that. Perron will provide a boost.

Hitchcock has to make sure the boys don't look past tonight to tomorrow. Colorado is playing poorly, but they aren't scrubs.

Besides, a win might have them at first in the division (by points, not points percentage) by the end of the night.

To be honest, I think a pre-letdown game could happen tonight with the team anticipating Perron's return tomorrow. The caveat is that Stewart and Shattenkirk are back in Colorado for the first time.
