Miller, who hasn't played since sustaining a concussion when Boston's Milan Lucic bowled him over in Buffalo's loss to the Bruins on Nov. 12, is expected to back up Jhonas Enroth against Detroit.
Miller may get his first start since the injury on Saturday when the Sabres play at Nashville.
I predict they score the first goal, then give up 3 on the go, and end up losing 4-2.
It does seem like it could go either that way - big start out of the gates with early lead before sitting back and letting the other team gain control - but we've also seen them come out slow and lethargic, fall behind and then turn it on in the 3rd only to fall short.
I wonder when we're going to see a solid 60 minute effort from start to finish. The Caps game was close albeit Washington's passive play made it easier for Buffalo.
It will be interesting to see how the "Twin Tower" duo of McNabb-Finley look - I don't think the Sabres have had that kind of pair of goliaths since the days when Jerry Korab was paired with a rookie Larry Playfair in the late 70s.....
Lenio sets an NHL record by dangling the puck around the perimeter of the wings zone for the entire first period.
Roy falls on the ice 3+ times without being hit
Pommers breaks 2 sticks to get closer to his season average of 104.
Enroth and miller both get pulled after not stopping any shots.
Finley eats the zamboni during the 1st period intermission.
Wings pull ahead with a late int and chip shot field goal.
Wings 7 sabres 1.
New drinking game: take a shot when a player says the word SYSTEM in their post game interview.
Nashville went into Vancouver last night and came away with a 6-5 decision. Maybe Ruff's thinking was that Miller could be eased in because the Preds play a low scoring style versus the Wings offensive juggernaught?
All I can say is I hope Nashville's still suffering from a west coast hangover tomorrow night......
Both games this weekend will be a tough test of our injury plagued roster.

Some slumping players gotta break out at some point. I'd expect TV will find the net again. Gerbe, Stafford, Leino....time to start finding twine, boys.

I saw Larry Playfair at the Bruins game last week. He was just sitting in the club section having a beer. Pretty cool.
This game scares me. I think we win though. We're due to win at *** Center, and Detroit is just due to lose.
