euro 2012

Yeah, I'm going to cheer for Germany, my friend is Portuguese going to love it when die nationalmannschaft beat Portugal. also can the creator of the poll correct their mistake, Germany was the runner up to Spain in Euro 2008 not The Netherlands. The Fifa World Cup and the Uefa European Championships are two completely different competition.

That's a sick forward line up but the problem with the Dutch will be their weak defense. They match up with Spain and Germany up front but those teams have far superior backs and keeps. AINEC.

Italy will probably surprise people.

Like usual I'm rooting for Spain. They have a tough road up ahead without Puyol and Villa. But still have a ton of talent that can step up.

Honestly, I hope that Italy and France put up a better showing than they did 2 years ago at the World Cup that was embarrassing for both countries.

Yeah, I know they're different. I did that on purpose, because the WC2010 is more relevant than the EC2008.

Italy has a better chance at choking again like the past 4 years than "pwning" Spain.

There hasn't been a euro cup for 4 years so I don't quite understand how they choked the past 4 years. Also no one is expecting them to be good so I don't see how choking is relevant either.

I should have made it clear in my post that I included Euro 08 and the World Cup 2010.

Italy took on the team that won it all Spain in the quarter finals, keeping the best scoring team in the Euro cup at the time to no goals resulting in a loss in penalties. Don't really call that a choke. As for the world cup, ya that was a bad showing.

Well.. not in this case.. we're talking about the Euro Cup.. not the World Cup.. so he's right in saying Germany was the runner up not the Netherlands.

Listen... we understand you guys are still pissed Podolski picked to play for Germany instead of Poland but come on... give us the recognition we deserve

The year 2010 is more relevant than the year 2008, especially since both teams are European. I also did not state in the poll that they are the current European Vice-champions. It has nothing to do with the fact that Germany has Podolski and Klose. It has nothing to do with that fact that France has Koscielny. The fact of the matter is, that WC>EC and 2010 > 2008. If you don't like the pole, don't watch his tournament

Oh, and PS. I'm pretty sure both Polish and German fans would agree that they don't want Podolski anywhere near their Starting-XI. Guy is a total idiot.

Podolski will more likely then not start alongside Klose.. even though some may think Gomez should start considering his hot streak.

Leaf fan coming in peace, Italy isn't going anywhere with a performance like today against Russia. They lost 3-0 and looked terrible. Yikes..

They really have to pull together as a team because they didn't look they were on the same page at all. I'm assuming the whole match fixing scandals across the country are really affecting the team but boy this isn't your grandparents Italian team..they haven't been good since the 06 WC.

Germany is actually the current "Vice Champion" for the Euro cup..

Netherlands is the runner up for the world cup.
