Dumb and Dumber thought that it was on the Clarkson interference penalty. His leg gets twisted a bit.

Well I didn't get to watch the first 2 periods, but I was able to see the 3rd. Very happy to see the Wild win. The 3rd looked like we were afraid to play physical at all. I did expect it with Clutterbuck out, but we needed to knock those guys around more. I saw that Harding replaced Backstrom after the 1st. Has there been an injury update since the game ended or is it just the typical lower body injury?

I'm far from sold on Wellman. He had a very good game, but he's pretty much failed time and time again until now. How will he respond? Will he build off of his play tonight? Or will he go back to his usual tricks? Don't get me wrong. I'd like to see him step it up. I'm just not that confident at this point. He's had so many opportunities, but let them slip away.

FWIW i'm not sold either, but I really do hope he succeeds. That'd of course create more problems in our 2012-13 line combos...

Good problems. Houston would clean house.

Oh please, pretty please lets not get griping over that on here. It's already been covered and beaten to death on here. Leave that for the other board. Actually, from my brief view over there, it's not even on topic half the time. It's just a p***ing contest.
roger that.

Na, he's just his mother.

Woot! Happy for a win. Didn't get to see the game but will watch it back at some point.

I agree with everything you said but it should be noted that he hasn't really had a consistent go at the big club and has been relegated to 4th line minutes.

Now he hadn't really earned top six minutes before this year. But given his play in Houston, his patience with the constant call ups, and just his 'luck' that injuries opened up a spot for him this should be his real shot to carve out a hole on this roster.

He certainly earned himself another shot at the top six (listened to the game on the radio so its based on what is said in this forum and what i heard). Hopefully by playing well one game at a time he can show the wild why they signed him in the first place.

Just watched the game from NHL Vault. Good one, brilliant victory for the Wild... couple of points:

- Brodziak is a beast
- NJ should've had at least a penalty from that slash on Koivu in the breakaway
- Clarkson's a massive dick, that boarding was blatant and should've been a 5+game at least
- We look like true Spartans out there.

All in all, I'm a happy camper. But then again, winners are never satisfied.
