Next five days, I'll get rest of everything updated. Finally have time to make at least a mini full game thread (not to mention a working computer, working internet and no holidays).
Always have good games against the Isles it seems, no matter how bad they are. Go Stars Go.
The Islanders always play us really tough, and they are starting to see some improvement in their game with a couple of wins before that tight loss to Chicago last night.
As always when playing tired teams, I'd like to see Dallas really come out flying and take the physical game to the Islanders from minute 1. What will probably happen is Dallas will float around for the first 30-40 minutes of the game before deciding they want to play hockey after going down by 2 goals in the third.
This will be the most confident I will be in our team to get a win of any game this season. I usually approach every game with trepidation just because of the parity of the league, any team can beat any team on any night.
But if we lose this I'm going to be ****ing pissed. The Islanders are the worst road team in the league. They're on the 2nd night of a B2B. They have the worst GF/G in the league. We're awesome at home.
Now that DP is in, just shoot. Shots from the blueline while entering the zone with no screens apply, you will score 3 out of 5 times that way. His mobility is shot, a slow pass to your left or right with an ok shot on net will go in. DP drops lack a sack of potatoes so if you're feeling lucky, shoot high.
Otherwise, I'm looking forward to this game, the forwards are getting going (defense still sucks)

Yea I got a pretty good feeling about tonight. Everything about tonight games screams "win" but it won't be easy IMO for us. Its never easy for Dallas.
Tonight is a big game so we need those 2 points and I have faith will get them.

Fun fact for the Stars fans (since as an Isles fan I'm sure you are well aware of this:
If the Isles bought out DiPietro's contract this summer, they'd only owe him $1.5 million per year for the next 18 years! Ricky boy would be 48 years old and still collecting a sizable NHL salary.
