I hope Reimer starts tonight and has a big game.

He's definitely got to be eager and pumped to get back out there.

Rope-a-dope them.
Bruins played a composed game last time anyways. A good PP is probably better than an enforcer.

if we get bombed and intimidated again, will all of you lets play more skaters recant that perhaps our team needs Orr???

I mean the Canucks after getting man handled in finals made it a mission to get more grit..

The only enforcer they needed was one to take out TT, or replace Luoooooooo.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

Did you even watch the last game? Bruins didn't get physical at all.

Grit is good when they also have skill. I don't mind if we have Orr against the Sens because those games are generally 1 goal games with or without him.

The Bruins have blown us out three times now (I know the third one doesn't really reflect how tight the game was if not for a few lapses/penalties but it's still 6 goals).

In those games you just can't have Orr for 3-4 minutes on the ice...you need better from your 4th line.

The Bruins have a gritty + tough fourth line. Shawn Thornton, Paille and Campbell.

Our best 4th line is probably the one that doesn't have Orr. I'd rather have Rosehill..

Why, is Lucic going to run over Gustavsson and make it look like an accident?

it's not about playing tough or playing into the bruins style all night. obviously the leafs need to stick to their game plan. if they can stay away from the fights, sure. i just don't see that happening with this team.

the only reason people are suggesting orr over dupuis is without brown, we don't need guys like schenn and phaneuf trying to fight the likes of lucic and thornton. the canucks couldn't beat them when they didn't have anyone to keep the bruins in check and dressing orr against the bruins certainly worked for the leafs in the past when lucic was running around and orr broke his nose. put an end to the BS rather quickly, wether some of you would like to admit it or not.

y'know I fully expect the team to put on one of their best performances of the year this year.

With 26 dads in the arena, (basically everyones) you can bet that a couple young men will be trying hard to put the puck in the net.

A good choice of timing by the Leafs management, getting the Dads in on probably one of the tougher parts of the season (back to backs against the champs)

I think tonight will be the night we take the Bruins.

I know I always played harder as a kid when my dad was around. I hope tonight has the same effect.

At the very least we should be expecting a great game!

So Julien says that the last game was too wide open for his liking, wow.

This is the mentality even after kicking our butts the last few games, both on ice and on the scoresheet.

Code:
DATE VIS/HOME	FINAL
30-Nov-11	BOS @ TOR	BOS, 6 - 3
5-Nov-11 BOS @ TOR	BOS, 7 - 0
20-Oct-11	TOR @ BOS	BOS, 6 - 2
Leafs need to have that kind of winning attitude. We need all the help we can get from our D tonight and possibly Reimer starting increases our chance of pulling out a W.

edit: Reimer Starts, yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaa!

I don't think our shortcoming physically against the Bruins are due to lack of enforcing.

Where we don't compete against them is where the top 6 is concerned. We all know how tough the Bruins team is, but we are severely outclassed in that regard in the top 6. Lupul and Kulemin as the most physically imposing forwards is bordering on sad, especially against that team.

I'm not worried about the Bruins "running around" so much as them running us over. Our defense doesn't lack that presence, but I really wish we were more like that team up front.
