Cammalleri is really starting to piss me off. He has one job and it's to score goals yet he can't do that then is lazy as **** defensively and takes a potentially crippling penalty. Awful. And you know if we traded him he'd explode. The reason why he hasn't come close to his best production from LA (36 goals, 80 points) or Calgary (38 goals, 83 points) is he hasn't got a real star on his line or a great playmaking centre to help him. This guy would bury 30-35 easily on a team with a star pivot, but our closest to that is Plekanec and he's more of a less physical Ryan Kesler style #1 centre.

It's not about "Eller vs. Gomez". Gomez is here to stay whether we like it or not, and yeah despite being an overpaid hack he's still a pretty competent hockey player. The problem with him is finding space since, like you say, Eller (and Desharnais) have supplanted him.

As much we all like Leblanc, its not the Habs style to keep him around. So, that means we're looking at Darche, Moen, or... Gomez as a third line LW. I'd take Scotty G. Then you use Moen to anchor the fourth line and have a grinding line that can play a regular shift instead of Martin's usual fourth line that consists of some combo of players such as Plug/Grinder/Defenceman/Rookie/Doghouse.

Some cheesy choices but it beats the generic rock most arenas have.

-he has no excuses to be playing this bad

Well if the Kings were upset about the Eller one earlier, they can't complain about that. Pretty much the same type of hit.

if what Subban did can be called a dive or embellishment, then what Doughty did earlier was a total flop. Both sold the shoves from behind a little strong but that's hockey. It happens, but of course PK's haters will casually ignore that and act like he's one of the only guys trying sell penalties.

That was a harder shove than what propelled Doughty into the boards, and people were wondering if Shanny was going to have a look at it.
