12/3/11 - 7:00PM EDT - New York Rangers vs Tampa Bay

ARENA: St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa Bay
TV: SUN(HD), MSG
RADIO: 970 WFLA
STREAMS:
  1. http://linkabstract.com/

GUY BOUCHER:
Quote:
  • "Right now we're getting better at a lot of things but we're in a very tough schedule. Minny, and then after that Detroit, and now the Rangers. If you look at the next 10 games we've got 3 at home...So circumstances are now it's very difficult for us to get a breather. We don't have a breather. We're right in the mix of things. You win 2 games, you're 5th in conference and you lose 2 and you're 13th. So we got to stick with it and we know the Rangers are an outstanding team and beating everybody. They got swagger, they're really good on defense and in net and it gives them the confidence they need with the forwards.''
DOMINIC MOORE:
Quote:
  • "We got to be ready right off the hop. Starts are important for our team and we got to be ready to go from the drop of the puck."

LET'S GO BOLTS!

Time to make good on those promises Ranger fans from the Carolina game last season. You failed to beat the Caps in the playoffs like you said you would, but as long as you come through with the rest of the stuff, we'll let it slide.

1st. we want cup needs to give us candy and albatross all the chocolate he wants.

2. Slowdive needs to bring the expensive Lindt Truffles

3. Machinehead – his sister

4. Barbara Underhill - You have to set Viktor with your old roommate.

5. henrik4vezina30 - You owe quite a lot. We'll be taking your first born son and golbolts gets a BLT from Stage Deli in Times Square, the winners of races 3, 4, and 5 at Belmont park, a bagel from your best bagel place, a pizza from your finest NYC pizzeria, and two dozen cookies from Ferrara's bakery in Little Italy.

6. mti79 - you owe us a nice 12-pack of beer. Our choice of brand.

7. Fire Sather you need to show us the Mike Smith jersey you bought yourself.

You all have until 7:00 tonight. Cheers!

I think Garon playing in this game signals the end of the 'confidence in Roloson' era.

Looking at the stats above one thing glares out at me. Earlier in the year we had just a few minus players. Now look...very few plus players. Especially troublesome are Downey's -14 and Brewer (a shut down defenseman) -7. Not that they are the only problems just 2 worth pointing out.

I don't think so. Adam Hall is not the component of a deal that you have to worry about keeping healthy.

Boucher also seems to like him a lot, but this scratch is more because someone simply has to sit. Hall is steady, but he's not good enough to escape being a scratch forever when we're trying to regularly play 13 forwards, and some nights using as few as 11.

TBLightning also tweet that Shannon is the one playing tonight.

I can hardly recognize the Rangers. Who are Artem Anisomov, Dereck Stepan, Ryan Calahan, and Michael Dell Zotto?

Maybe someone expressed interest in Shannon and Yzerman is showing him off? That is the only reason outside of an injury I can think of to sit Hall and put Shannon in.

The team isn't winning. That should be reason enough for a lineup change, IMO. Boucher is looking for offense and we all know that's not really Hall's biggest asset.

Edit:

Quote:
"Adam Hall is playing great defensively," Boucher said. "He's a big body and we certainly need big bodies. It's just that we really lack secondary scoring. ... Just choosing somebody more offensive. Just trying to give ourselves a chance to get some secondary scoring. Not that Adam can't, but he's not known to be an offensive player."

David Moss is a UFA at season's end, would be an intriguing secondary scoring option on the third line

We do desperately need some secondary scoring with Purcell, Connolly and Malone not really producing right now.

Pyatt and Hall have virtually no offensive talent whatsoever. I'm not surprised one of them was scratched.

What I'm surprised at was that Boucher would go with Shannon over someone who could help us on the PK.

I'm not sure if that's serious or not, but each of these players played at least last season and the only player that didn't play 2 seasons ago is Derek Stepan.
