**** this suck ass team. That pp was ****ig embarrassing, not like it was critical or anything. A pp is not a time to play soft ass dump and chase.

Atleast look like you ****ing care. We suck.

At what point does 'disappointing' turn into 'just plain bad'.

****ing awful. Just **** the bed with ten minutes to go. There is no reason we should have lost this game, but we let them outwork us to every puck and made many dumb ****ing mistakes. Right now, we're a bad team.

And was it just me or was Stamkos out for maybe 4 minutes the entire third period? It seemed like we had the Pyatt line out more than his. Don't get me wrong, I like that line, but something about not having the leading scorer in the NHL on the ice in a tie game pisses me off.

None of the boys should be. That was a disappointing end to what was looking like a good game.

Dump and chase works with people who actually want to get the puck.

Sean Bergenheim. Anyone remember this guy's intensity? He was intense.

Getting hard to root for this team this year. We're not giving enough effort and when things don't go our way we ****ing fold worse than a damn indian tent. Stop feeling for yourselves and go out ****ing play some damn hockey.

Still heated about that "Power Play" we had the "fortune" of getting. Sad sack efforts and you get sad sack results. Couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to tie it up seconds after a late goal, yet that's the best we can do? **** that. God damn embarrassing.

It's not a third line grinder we're missing. Pyatt is a ****ing puck hound (although not sold on Shannon yet... he's shifty but doesn't seem to have the INTENSITY of our other bottom 6ers). I really think we're missing good Dmen. Ohlund coming back will help, but despite MAB's offensive upside, I just don't think I can take him playing 15+ minutes a night anymore. All of those goals (minus the empty netter) were avoidable with good defensive play, specifically by our Dmen.

Shannon is ****ing worthless. Scratch, trade, waive him whatever. Failed experiment on a player that looked like he had potential.

Ohlund needs to hurry up too, just so we can get rid of Kubina.

Aside from Pyatt, Thompson, Tyrell, Garon, and Gilroy, our effort was piss poor. If that line didn't show up then we wouldn't have had any business being in this game. It wasn't a coincidence that our best chances came from them. Can we clone those 3 but give them more scoring touch in doing so? We'd be unstoppable.

Even with Ohlund coming back, we still have a ****** backend. We need to bring a piece in. Can't put this on Garon, he played really well (3rd goal was ??? a bit, but still need some D to back him up). Can we trade for Lundin? Third pairing of Lundin + Gilroy would be so good. *sigh*

I'm quite sure I'd be an upgrade over Kubina. I can consistently shoot pucks into traffic for them to be blocked and ruin a good forecheck, I could consistently make bad pinches to start an odd man the other way, I could take bad penalties game after game.. sign me up Stevie!

However, we're forced to deal with Kubina because the only other player we have is "Healthy Scratch Gervais".

We are also now below .500. Time to make a trade. Wake this ****ing listless hockey team up.

Hey, I thought the Lightning played a strong defensive game in their own zone for a lot of the game (good job cutting off passing lanes) and Garon was stopping every shot he saw...not so good on the rebounds though, which is what killed you guys.

I also think the Rangers were really focusing on shutting down Tampa's top players which to some degree is why they were "invisible", but the bottom lines were flying

I agree with you there. No more treading water... we need a trade. I'd prefer a Dman (either top 4 or a bottom pairing defensive specialist) as Garon has not been the problem and Rolly has shown himself to be quite capable of bouncing back from bad performances. Plus, good D can go a long way in making a goalie look good (see Brodeur, 1995-2009).

We're just not that great of a team. I for one am not too surprised where we are in the standings. I'm not saying we had a good effort tonight, but when you look at this lineup and the way we've been playing, it's pretty clear some changes need to be made.

1st. we want cup needs to give us candy and albatross all the chocolate he wants.

2. Slowdive needs to bring the expensive Lindt Truffles

3. Machinehead – his sister

4. Barbara Underhill - You have to set Viktor with your old roommate.

5. henrik4vezina30 - You owe quite a lot. We'll be taking your first born son and golbolts gets a BLT from Stage Deli in Times Square, the winners of races 3, 4, and 5 at Belmont park, a bagel from your best bagel place, a pizza from your finest NYC pizzeria, and two dozen cookies from Ferrara's bakery in Little Italy.

6. mti79 - you owe us a nice 12-pack of beer. Our choice of brand.

7. Fire Sather you need to show us the Mike Smith jersey you bought yourself.

You all have until 7:00 tonight. Cheers!
Friendly, still indebted ranger fan here.

This may be the funniest post I've ever seen.

I have never liked Kubina - the old, slow, even more confused Kubina I hate. Worst SY signing by far

Shannon does not fit on this team. He was tried on the top line leaving 4 and 26 to work alone, tried on the third line and just rubbed out on the boards.

We missed Hall, especially with face offs

MAB has no business playing 5 on 5 Hockey.

Garon play OK but will always be at best a 1b, and should be a backup. Another game that if we switched goalies we would have won

We seem to be in a race for a lottery pick with the Caps. Problem, they have 2 1st.

What a strange game: referees were completely blind until making a ridiculous call late in the 3rd. That of course means an equally ridiculous call to even things up between the teams. The lone linesman didn't seem to have a clue what icing is in the NHL.

Don't know why they stopped shooting and backed off. Thompson & Tyrell were busting their ***** all night. Downie had tons of chances in close on Lundquist but couldn't bury them.

Too many damn Rag fans in the building. Although they did act like they had won the Stanley Cup when the game was over.

How? Why? By all accounts the 4th line had a very good game and played just fine without his presence.

And the $600K Shannon thing I just don't get. I'd be more concerned why the scoring isn't there from the multi-million dollar players.

Shannon and Kubina are being the scapegoats right now, but there's a point there. Purcell and Malone need to do a better job of ... well, everything. But outside of Hedman and Brewer, and a bit Gilroy, our D has been awful. MAB is... well, he's MAB. Clark is normally invisible out there, Gervais is a healthy scratch for a reason, and Kubina is awful. I mean, it's a team failure right now, but it's also a talent failure in certain positions.

And our 4th line played wonderfully, by the way. Our bottom 4 forwards are hard-working dynamos. I wouldn't mind giving Pyatt-Hall-Tyrell a try and move Nate to the third line, but all of those guys are absolute workhorses.

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)

I know SFY has said he won't add any coaches, but not having Wayne Fleming might be hurting us. Randy Carlyle seems to be available.
