Van comes close after Poms steps in on that clear. And Roy's stick breaks.... ugh.

I really wish Vanek had connected. That would have been amazing.

Sends it in with a sand wedge? Kevin tries way too hard to be creative. It's really annoying.

McNabb keeps his man to the outside on that rush just like he's supposed to.

You guys....I'm having a tough time finding anything to dislike about Buffalo's game tonight. Nashville is a good team and they're making some nice plays, but overall I am impressed by the Sabres. Can we play every game on the road for the rest of the year?

When I sat in 327, the guys next to us used to have a tradition -- one of us would turn and say "Vanek sucks" during the pre-game skate. He'd score almost every time. It was a great running joke. Someone behind us railed on him one night and he had a two -goal, one-assist night, so we just started in with it.

Leino just threw another hit. More sisu please.

I already have a decent comfort level with McNabb on the ice.

Hey they're on the road for me every game anyways so if everyone just stayed home and watched the game on TV, the arena would be empty.

T-Pegs might even pop for the Center Ice subscriptions....

Can the camera possibly be any further away from the play?

Better than the report a month ago that it'd be the Northeast plus Pittsburgh and Detroit/Columbus. Keep the Pens and Wings far away.

I thought Kassian really set the tone when he had that strong shift to start the game down low...He seems like one of those guys who can grab his team by the balls and will them to play better...much as Ryan Kesler did for Vancouver last season.
