Happens to everyone. Gotta make sure you have a large bottle of water by you at night. Also it wouldn't hurt to it something after a night of drinking; or just orange juice.

I'm guessing it would be O(nlogk) but am having trouble implementing the algorithm. We're allowed to call a 'merge' function a la merge-sort (which uses 2k comparisons, as stated in the total comparisons above).

Discrete math -- been a few decades.

If the list isn't "sorted"/ordered i.e., random order, how do you know if you've got the "best" top elements?

There's binary search (best for ordered lists).

I'd use binary search if I was allowed to. Binary search is less efficient than divide-and-conquer algorithms like mergesort, or quicksort. Oh wells. To ****** I go!

Sigh, I'm going to be putting together a computer over winter break... Fun.

I have the parts I want to get but I've never built a computer before, one of my SC2 buddies is going to help give instructions but I'm worried.

A new computer will allow me to stream, SC2. Wanna watch me KM??? ^_^

Not going to pay money to have someone put together a computer for me. I know someone in Sacramento that is good at it but I would have to drive from Santa Rosa to Sac in order to get him to build it so he's my backup plan if I fail miserably.

I got the blackwidow its pretty dope, already setting up macros for BF2 and SWTOR. Its heavy that's a must with me and keyboards. My hands will push around a lightweight one.

My friend has a Das keyboard and I would like one as well. But it's kind of out of my price range. I need to look into getting the student discount maybe.

Depending on what brand you're looking for there have been a lot of promotional offers. Especially for Razer, they've got 25 different promotions for each day before x-mas.

its really not that hard to do, I've done it before and as long as you had a tech buddy make sure that the parts you got actually WORK together, its pretty much as simple as 1, 2, 3

just don't do what I did and put in the heatsink bracket in upside down making it impossible to screw in... because I speared my motherboard a dozen times with the screwdriver trying to jam it in place

and yes, this is the one that has Vista on it.

I guess spearing your computer is the secret to get Vista to play nice

I hate winter break, I have to pack and clean because I'm going home tomorrow. Haven't even begun. I really wish I could turn back time to the start of fall quarter again x_x

I hate them too, I had a fat bald version of kid Gohan step in front of me on the lightrail and he just so happened to be carrying around a milk jug. What did he do? He makes a loud demon screech noise with his tongue out and pours the milk all over the train.

-_-
