Caps could very easily have won that game by five goals.

Laich was close all night. Always bet on a guy playing his former team. He joked he would score before Ovi in their 500th games. I figured that would do it.

Everyone is getting laid

Our own announcers were doing the same.

D much more aggressive in the defensive zone. The transition game is easy to see, may just be the crappy sens though. The D much less aggressive in offensive zone in keep ins but if there is a rush and they are leading the charge.

Can we get a 100 day lock-in? That allowed?

Nice win by the Caps and congrats to Dale Hunter on his first coaching win in the NHL!

Lots to be encouraged by. *

Bring on those division leading Kittycats now.

* Still need to fire the Evason though. Awful PP.

And that rematch with Toronto. Cycle is getting better each and every game. Now all they have to do is learn how to finish.

Still some problems (spending prolonged periods of time in the D zone being the chief one) but they got a lot of shots and chances, for the first time I can remember in awhile, looked like the better team on the ice... Part of this may be due to the Sens bad D, but if the Caps get as many good chances as we did tonight on a regular basis, their not going to score only 2 in reg every time... Congrats to DH

I liked the defensive improvements, Orlov's continued progression, the hitting, the PK, and less penalties taken. What concerns me is the goaltending, still making some blind passes, still needing to clear the defensive zone, and not converting the quality scoring chances. This could have been a explosive breakout for the Caps had it not been for Anderson.

Laich and Brouwer really needed those goals. Best game they've played in a while all around. Some really top notch chances that didn't go in.

I don't care what happens, but MP needs to stay in the lineup. He flat out makes things happen. Even with his diminutive size he is able to stay on the puck. If it means keeping Semin out of the lineup till he's healthy or sending Eakin down, we need to let MP stay in there at least till he goes on one of his cold streaks.

Something I really hope Dale is working on is how we attempt to clear the zone. We need to work more on possessing the puck rather than simply dumping and chipping it out of our zone.

Sens were just what the doctor ordered, two years in a row. Still unclear to me whether Karlssen and Carlson related, but be that as it may, sweet sweet dish from manos suaves, and sure-handed finish from 21. Oh thank you, Jesus, thank you, sweet Jesus. Our team really needed that one.

Loved the hitting by Ovie, and his assist on Brouwer goal. No question Ovie is re-energized now. I also loved him chipping it deep late in the game; good adjustment, good discipline.

Now let's go shove it up FLA's *** on Monday night.

I agree they do need to get rid Evason.

Evason runs the PK. Woods ran the PP, so I'm assuming Johnson took over those responsibilities.

Much better game offensively, though they need to cash in on more of those golden scoring chances. Clearing the defensive zone and the PP are still the two biggest problems, by far.
