I really believe we aren't taking enough one timers. It's always settle the puck and then shoot. Allows defenders to get in position. Seems to be a trend since the Montreal series.
How is that relevant? Mental errors are his problem and that was just another example.
Seriously? A 4 minute delayed penalty and you, and others, are gonna ***** that a slumping OV is solely to blame for it coming to an end? Thats taking bat **** crazy to a new level.

How many seasons does he play like crap before its not a slump? is there some arbitrary number (I'd vote 5.3, if thats the case)

That's a curious stance to take on that particular sequence.
Ovi had a pretty big hand in keeping the delayed penalty going for as long as it did.
I'm not going to blame a tired guy (and probably a tired squad in general aside from that 6th guy) for fumbling the puck at the end of a really really long shift.

+1. And the one timers before Montreal were usually flubs, or PP goals from Green or Ovi. Even strength, not nearly enough. I am seeing quicker passing which is a start.
Halpern uses the boards a lot and well when passing.

Well since it is only a little over a full season I will still consider what OV is in a slump. You can call it whatever you choose.
And it was only a 1:03 delayed penalty, and yes OV tried a no look pass to nickey that deflected off a Senator's skate. So yeah he ****ed it up. After a fun day of putting up christmas decorations I have been enjoying some adult beverages. Yeah thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Having said all that, how long has OV been with that hot POS tennis pro?

Its situational awareness, they do all that work as a team and he makes a lazy, selfish play.

Well it's the winning one. If you have the puck and are tired.... Guess who's more tired. The defense. Guess who let them off. Us.
