BC hosts Providence tonight. Rare mid-week game for BC.

He's improving his game. This is good. Rangers are going to need his toughness maybe as soon as next year especially if this dumb realignment passes. He's the kind of guy that can turn a playoff series with one hit.

Good to see Kreider humming along with another point.

It seems he is ready for professional hockey.

I know we all want to see Kreider immediately next year and I think we will see him but I tell you what I'll watch a lot more Whale games if we get Stajcer, Lindberg, Fasth, CT, McI, Kreider, Yogan, JT (He's on 1 year in the CHL right?) all playing at once next year I think all have a shot at complimentary or much larger roles at the NHL.

Then again I said the same about Bourque, Horak, Werek, Kundratek, Pashnin etc but those guys all keepg etting hurt or they were traded (Pash stayed in KHL) so who knows. But I don't see it getting blown up as big.

I don't know that either Fasth or Lindberg will be in the States next year.

I don't think this is true. Because he wasn't through the chl system he isn't restricted by that rule.

Same thing happened with Grachev.

He is playing for Plymouth in the OHL. Isn't that going thru the CHL system?

JT was drafted when he was part of USDT which makes him eligible to play Ahl whenever; he is not restricted by CHL rules

False. Players drafted out of the CHL must play 4 years in the CHL, or until they are 20, before playing in the AHL.

Players not drafted out of the CHL (Miller, Grachev, Kundratek, Bourque), do not have that restriction.

Many people think it's an AHL age minimum. It's not. It's an agreement between the CHL and the NHL so that the CHL will not lose their best players to the AHL.

Going into the CHL at age 18 isn't the same as coming up through the CHL system.

He wasn't playing in the CHL prior to being drafted, so the rule doesn't apply.

I think the rule only holds if a player's rights were drafted and they were already in the CHL system. He was drafted from the US development league so it doesn't hold for him.

I'm not 100% on this so hopefully someone who is more sure of themselves can chime in on the subject.

I think that miller would like to be playing professionally (hence the contract) next year, but it might behoove the Rangers to keep him in Junior for another year. What do you guys think?

See how he does in camp. He looked great this year. If he has matured physically I wouldn't have a problem with it. Not sure if there is a spot for him but they will make one if he plays well.
