Even if Markov were to come back around all star break, how much of an impact can he have after being out for more than 1 year. If by that time Habs are still way out of playoffs, maybe we won't see him at all.

I don't care about Gomez, or Gionta or even Markov because I don't think they can make this team better. I want White back and Darche in the pressbox sippin' on drinks and munching hot dogs.

FINALLY got to see Eller center Cole and Pacioretty, now I really want to see White play with Blunden and Nokelainen!

Edit: I like the Desharnais, Kostitsyn, Leblanc line, too.

Why should they? What benefit does it bring to the players or the teams involved?

The reason why the NFL has that is because it is the largest gambling league in the US.

This has got to be one of the dumbest posts I've ever read. White before Gionta, Markov and Gomez?

It's the holidays, some leeway for xmas cheer; eggnog and the like.
Only way to explain the nonsensical thoughts behind it

I have it from an inside source that Mathieu Darche will quit after this year to join Stef Karse and Les Kuntar in a Nirvana cover band that will tour 81 cities in Quebec.

I can't believe Habs fans who believe Ryan White will make the team better than Andrei Markov still exist. Atrocious... What an awful post.

It's the logical endpoint of thinking everything wrong with this team would be solved if people just tried harder.

White is the keystone to this organization.
His breed is the rarest commodity in Hab land.
He is not weak, soft, cowardly, or lazy unlike the vast majority of this team.

Then why is it taking him 3+ months to come back from a 4-6 week injury?

I am (as I imagine like everyone) going to be very excited when White comes back, he will bring a whole new dimension BUT I still think Gionta, Gomez and Markov (let's just pretend we're only talking about Gomez cuz the other two are ridiculous to compare) are equally important. Even if Gomez starts on a 4th line, I'm convinced that he will get going. His injuries have been unfortunate and we honestly haven't seen much of him at all this season and from what we did, it wasn't bad. He brings a ton of speed to the attack. We've had a lot of trouble gaining the zone. He can make us better and I'm looking fwd to having them all back. That's why I'm against all the defeatism and desire to tank. We can be good, very good as long as we stop underachieving. And no I don't think the expectations we had for these players were too high. They're underachieving.

Hernia's are a 4-6 week recovery if you have an office job...there have been players miss almost a full season trying to recover from hernia surgery...

White will make a difference, but his difference shouldn't be talked about along the lines of Gio or Markov...

Is that supposed to be a shocking statistic? Gomez has played 13 games this season...

Hopefully when the housecleaning occurs, this is something that will be addressed. It makes the language debate hilarious cuz we rarely hear a peep from this organization.

Anyone want to put an over/under on when Markov returns? I'll set it at March 3rd.

I don't think he's coming back at all this season.

Most pro athletes don't have a desk job and they come back in 4-6 weeks. I posted a bunch of examples 3-4 pages back.

I don't see White making a big impact, but he'll add some energy.
