Waiver Notification

Sami Salo (VFHC) and Zdeno Chara (FBK) are now available on waivers. once again, matti and his Timrå have first shot at one of them. whichever he doesn't want will fall to Riddarn's DIF.

Mr. Zzzz has asked that we cut down the time of a team's waiver window from 24 hours to significantly less than that. that is ok with me, my only concern being that some people do not have as much internet access as others, which may not be fair to them. any comments/ideas/suggestions from you other GMs?

when someone post that let´s say 3 players have signed, than the GM has 2 hours to sign the one he wants. if he doasn´t than you will assign the player that you think is the best (ranking system). in this case I belive that Chara would go to Mattip? Salo to riddarn and so on.. how doas it sound?

ahhhh.... yes. i like this one more . i would still prefer that guys get to choose who they want, but if the other GMs are agreeable to this scenario, then we can go ahead with it.

Why don't we just give Chara to me and everything will be dandy?

hehe... nice try Seiza. i was considering activating the 'GoGo-can-do-whatever-he-bloody-well-feels-like' clause and taking Chara myself... but i thought better of it .

I'll take the one who will end up with more points (considering even Hyvönen puts up points here...)... Sami Salo!

ok... we have a new proposal here for a way to work the whole waiver thing. it seems kind of unfair to some, especially this early in the season, to have the teams in last place continue to pick the waiver players when they may have only had one or two bad rounds. so... how about instead of 'resetting' the list after every round, we just continue going in order. for example: timrå and djurgården just picked players, so the next player would then be available to frölunda, even if no one else signed on to an SEL team until after the completion of round 3. we would set the order as it is right now, and continue to use it until all 12 teams have had a chance to select a player (whether they actually do select the player or not). we would then reset the order to match the standings at that time.

what does everyone think?

I guess it's a good idea. Even if I loose Chara in the process (I guess?).

no, no... you still get Chara and matti still gets Salo... and we just continue from there. so now rivercanyon has a chance to take Pavlikovsky, and the Mr. Zzzz has the chance to take the next player who signs, and so on.

just to let everyone know... No players will sign with SEL teams until November 8th, since the transfer window is now closed in the SEL.

Forwards Rastislav Pavlikovsky (Mora) is now available on waivers. Mr. Zzzz's Malmö has first chance to select him.

Marcel Hossa (Mora) claimed by Frölunda.

I would also like to sign defenseman Miska Kangasniemi, Malmö and release defenseman Rikard Lidström.
