Will Alex Tanguay get to 1000 career NHL points?

Just wondering if you think he'll make it.

He looks to have a few decent years ahead of him we'd presume.

He's at 735 now. Looks like it will be close!

He tops out at 850-875 I think..

He would need to play 5-6 more seasons scoring at the same pace he is now, which is about 0.83, don't know if it's possible.

He needs 4 full (82 game) seasons at his current PPG pace over his career, without declining at all (around 65 points per year) that would put him at 37 years old.

He has a shot, but I personally doubt it, I think he will finish at around 950.

I will play a devil's advocate: yes.
With current medical services we will see more players play till their 40s. He has seasons which is average of 40 points in a season. Definitely not impossible. It's up to him.

Doubt it, players usually regress, hard enough to believe it with Selanne, Jagr, Whitney, etc...

He'll probably get 900, maybe a few more.

Well, i reckon a bit slower production will do for him.

But he will still fall a bit short. Elias can hit it, Tanguay not. Just my guess.

Hes always been underrated, I'm going to go with yes. But it'll take a couple fledgling years where people think he should retire.

I don't think so, unless he goes somewhere like Pittsburgh...

I said no. Tanguay is a guy who has aged rather poorly in my opinion and will continue to do so. Can't see him being a 1000 point guy.
