Winning is #1 but the cool thing about a developmental team is seeing guys come in, graduate and then wait for the next ones to come in. The org has made a great commitment to development...so you'll probably just continue to see this. Add, Prince, Pageau, Stone next year.

Every picture he's in that i've seen on twitter he looks like a 13 year old. He's absolutely tiny. I thought he was a kid at first chillin with members of the team.

Well thank God it takes time to put on wieght and develop both as a person and a hockey player. They go hand in hand.

Some guys just are not ready until they are 23, 24, sometimes 25. Physically, mentally, or otherwise. Not everyone is a Landeskog.

I'll say it right now, Peterson is the best prospect in the entire Sens organization including Filatov.

Because i disagree? I'm not saying he's a bad prospect, i'm a big fan, Just from what i've seen he has the build of a skinny teenager. It will probably take him time to add meat to the frame, but right now he would get wrecked in the NHL.

He has a build like Regin where he will always look smaller then he actually is. He may be 5'10, but he looks like he's 5'8.

No, just saying he looks like a 16 year old. Where does the conversation go from there?

Fact of the matter is, like a lot of other people and prospects he obviously hasn't developed at the rate or a Landeskog, Zibanejad, Couturier. Doesn't mean he won't. Also, coming to NA guys tend to put that wieght on in a big way.

My point was mainly about Petersson being the kind of build that looks smaller. Smaller bone structures then a guy like Gerbe for sure. Petersson is going to have to be an incredibly shifty player to play in the NHL imo because he isn't going to be one of those bulldog little guys like Gerbe.

Like I said, look no further than Alfi. Their games are identical and I agree, he needs to put on more wieght and strength to win the battles Alfi does.

He's a clone of Alfi.

I have. While it's true he's not close to physically developed he will eventually put on some size.

This is also sure to get a reaction and I hope it does, Petersson is a better player than Filatov and always has been.

I have yet to see anything from Filatov that warrants him going 6th overall. Sure he's got some nice aspects but I was expecting a lot more, even looking back to training camp et al.

Why exactly would you think he'd go for a 3rd if this wasn't the case?...

Yup, not a lot that says "NHL goal scorer" at all. Maybe he figures it out but as of now, he is lacking a lot. I don't see a ton oh hockey sense. A lot of tools though so can't count him out.

Talent doesn't just 'disappear' over night. I was expecting flashes of what made him a former 6th overall pick and thus far i've been disappointed.

I think a lot of it was based off a strong WJC, also a time when they said "speed kills". While true, you need something else to go with it other Apolo Ohno would be in the NHL.

I was going to make a passionate and elaborate response. Then I was all like:

R U SERIUZ? WHO IS ALFI?

Andre Petersson has been one of my favorite prospects from the start, I was among the first people to hype him. I still have high hopes for him even if the back problems have been really slowing down his development.

According to Elite Prospects (better source than hockey DB for that), Andre Petersson is 5'10 and 176 lbs. He is also only 21 y/o. Because of injuries, he couldn't really gain more strenght or gather more experience in pro hockey. It's like he was barely a 20 y/o starting his career in NA and in the AHL.

I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a star. If guys like Gionta and Camalleri can do it, I don't see a reason why AP couldn't. I hope we take our time with him and develop him the best we can.

My utlimate hope scenario is he becomes a sniper on Spezza's line.

Ya, that's why it's my utlimate hope scenario

I don't mind if Puempel, Butler and Filatov bust if that means those guys succeed. However, I like Regin and Da Costa too, just no idea where to fit them in that scenario. And Foligno? And others? Choices will be hard to make. The great news is we will have the luxury to choose the best among them.
