I know what goes around comes around but the Bruins have yet to play a back-to-back and have four times played teams that played the previous night. I imagine their schedule will get tougher but they are now doing what they should and playing some damn good hockey in the easy part of their schedule.

Without any injuries. That plays a huge factor.

if it is true that Carter wants out of Columbus, we should make every effort to get him

I have to agree.

I love his talent.
But a few games in, he wants out. Tells me he's a sore loser, not a team player.

Not to mention, he's a party boy and had trouble in the locker room with vets. (edit- nevermind that was Richards with the vet problem)

Sorry, I love his talent, but he wouldnt gel well with this team at all. The fact that we'd have to give up alot for him and his contract also tells me, he's not worth it.

He sounds like the next heatley. He's a great player, and in many ways exactly what we need but... we'd likely have to trade most of our future assets (of which we don't exactly have a ton of) for someone who likely won't last very long here.

Wow.

That's worse than Stefan IMO because at least the puck bobbled on him. Here the puck looks like it is lying flat on his forehand the whole way and he shoots it over from that distance? Honestly, it's gotta be harder to miss that than to score.

Stefan's missed empty-netter resulted in the tying goal for the other team.

I believe he was just referring to the action of missing the net itself.

Does Burke see the future? Does this mean Gomez is gonna go on a tear now?

Hard to feel sorry for them considering our injuries, plus they're the Leafs. If you asked most of their fans I think they'd be happy to see Komisarek out of the lineup, and I don't think anyone expected Lombardi to play many games.

Omg haha, that was the exact return in that "rumoured" trade.

Well he was apparently one of their best players since he has been benched earlier this season.. Their depth is slowly but certainly going down.. They brought in some injury prone guys and its actually catching them up..

So does that mean the players have tuned Babcock out? That sure seems to be the prevailing thought, and that's going to be tougher to get back. Now is the time where you either show that you're the coach we think you are, the guy who can lead this team back to the promised land, or we find that you're simply a guy who inherited a great team and you've lost the room.
http://www.wingingitinmotown.com/201...yes-yes-you-do

Not exactly breaking news, but coaching pro-sports is one of the most thankless jobs in the world.

Fortunately for them they make a ton of cash.

Not to mention all the arrogance and smugness from Leaf fans gloating all over HF early this season when they had visions of Lord Stanley in their head after their fast start..
