Headline: Roller coaster season not hurting McLellan's job security
Quote:
The Sharks (27-14-6) lead the Pacific Division, but they also limped in the break on a 2-3-1 run with key players such as Ryane Clowe and Marty Havlatout of the lineup as they recover from injuries.
Does it bother anyone else that Emmons and Pollak keep saying Marty Havlat instead of Martin Havlat in their articles? I get that's his nickname, but they use everyone else's full names, so why do they have to be cute about his? If they only did this in the blog posts, I wouldn't care, but in the articles it's kind of weird.

Maybe he likes it. It's a variation of his name like Mike for Michael, not a nickname like Pavs, JT or Pickles.
Now if they wrote Pickles Vlasic I'd have an issue with it

Haha, yeah I guess he might have told them it was okay to use it. It just always sounds awkward to me because they never write Patty Marleau, Danny Boyle, Benny Ferriero, etc. Oh well.

They do write Dan Boyle and Joe Thornton instead of Daniel Boyle and Joseph Thornton.
PollakOnSharks 7:11pm via Web Asked Couture's dad, Chet, how family was handling this. "We love it!," was text answer. Logan's younger brother Judson likely to get Honda.
And loving Logan's responses (and the chirpping from teammates is starting).

They know the guy personally, so they don't need to be so formal.
Ottawa's case against Heatley and the $4m bonus will finally be going to arbitration soon.
The article says if Heater loses the Sharks may be on the hook to pay the $4m bonus. That'd suck. If it comes to that, wonder what impact, if any, itd have on next season's roster?
