Pollack's article pointing to the lack in offensive production by our core players:
*Boyle, zero goals, two assists in 13 games.
*Burns, one goal, three assists in 18 games.
*Thornton, zero goals, three assists in nine games.
*Marleau, one goal, zero assists in nine games.
*Pavelski, one goal, one assist in nine games.
*Clowe, two goals, four assists in 14 games.
*Couture, four goals, four assists in 14 games.
*Havlat, zero goals, four assists in the 15 games since he scored his lone goal of the season.

That's the production from one of the best top-6 lines in the league and top offensive defensemen....

Yah. Pretty sure it was done to make it look worse than it really is. That being said .. even over the last 9 games the only one that would be good is Couture (and maybe Clowe).

Yeah, it's just a pet peeve of mine. I wasn't really attacking this particular case since the numbers are probably bad stat manipulation or not.

I think Pollak was just killing time since practice in Denver was cancelled.
He left out the part where those forwards have often been trapped in the D-zone or close to the Sharks' blueline covering for inconsistent D-pairings, failed breakouts, repetitive D mistakes, and generally scrambling to prevent total blowout losses.
*The powerplay is poop too, but part of that is Burns and Boyle failing to "drive" right.

Bleh. Knew that Niitymaki was heading to Worcester but apparently Vandy is now on IR
as per Pollack.

Borrows ties from Randy.
Also, Kurz is in the Witness Protection Program so I guess that means access to FBI surveillance videos of opponent's mascots. Beat that, Pollak!

markedwinemmons 11:35am via Web Douglas Murray (right hand) and James Vandermeer (upper body) skating alone before Sharks practice
At this point I'm thinking it possible we won't see either in the Sharks line up until after Christmas.
At least they can still skate and keep their legs.

Were there any post game videos from coaches/players for the Av game? Or were they really that annoyed with the effort?

Thornton be trolling:
Quote:
“Usually when I see hockey commentary, I mute it and listen to The Tragically Hip,” Thornton said. “I don’t pay too much attention to the talking birds. But maybe that’s just me.”

From the Sharks - not Versus. Versus only talked to a couple of Avs players.
(Have some from the Avs collected for GDT)

Best thing to get thornton going is for one of his team mates to call him out.

Boyle feeling much better (physically, confidence) after shortening stick by an inch and getting "over" some (nagging) injuries.
