Ian Kennedy pitches in one of the worst hitting divisions.... Hughes will be fine, his fastball is great again and he can blow it by hitters, now he just needs to get the knuckle curve working.

The Yankees pitching staff is fine as well. It way too early in the season for anyone to start worrying about anything. And as always, the Yankees prove everyone wrong and will win the division as usual.

swisher hits a hr that just barely clears the green monster and chavez hits one that just barely clears the bullpen out in right field. didnt think either were going to be gone off the bat lol.

Great win today. It's always tough to win at Fenway even if the Red Sox are struggling.

It's nice to see the Yankees swinging the bats well, I guess now the writers will have to stop whining about how the Yankees aren't hitting and go back to whining about the Yankees "relying on the home run".

Philip Humber is 5 outs away from a Perfect Game for the White Sox.

Sounds like Pineda might be out for a while. Got shut down Duane going to the doctor soon.

Oh shut up, Pineda is a top notch pitching prospect with a huge pitchers frame and a hard fastball and slider, he has a good change up as well. The only significant injury he's ever had was an elbow strain, and as you SHOULD know, every single pitcher in baseball inevitably gets injured.

Now take your mind of baseball and watch the Rangers crush the Sens tonight.

LOL Mets fans misery continues. No no-hitters, no perfect games in 50 year history yet many former Mets have and continue to pitch them for other teams lol.

It was 6.13 entering today's game. 2nd worst in majors. It's probably through the roof after today lol.

Tampa Bay has the worst pen ERA, 8.49. Yankees are #1 with 1.71. Yanks are the only team in majors with sub-2 pen ERA.

Pineda trade makes me chuckle even more. I hope he doesn't end up like Pavano LOL. Like I said before, Cashman better sell his soul.....

Pavano was a guy who had 1 good season and that happened to be in his walk year. Yankees got sucked in and Pavano cashed in big time. Pineda is nothing like that. Pineda's stuff is electric, he's not wild, he's got the pitcher's body. The only way this turns sour for Yanks is if Pineda's career is suddenly derailed by injuries. Healthy Pineda is front of the rotation type of pitcher.

On a side note:
16IP, 1ER, 4BB, 18 K - Jose Campos' stat line at Charleston. That's the prospect we received in Montero trade. Love that Charleston team. Campos, Bichette Jr, Sanchez, Mason Williams, Austin, Gumbs, Culver.

That was my point. And I could actually see that happening if he doesn't get in shape. Also, both Strasburg and Pineda mechanics need to be tweaked if they want a longer career.

I have to admit that Yankees comeback softened the blow from tonight's Rangers game a tiny bit. Not a lot... but a tiny bit. That was one for the ages.

Bobby V has to go now.
If the home team manager needs a police escort to make a pitching change you have have to be a big time paranoid loser.
