frankly, don't see how he could do otherwise... it's in his DNA.

To be honest, while Neuvirth faced a good deal of shots, there was not much traffic in front of him on the majority of them. On the other hand, Vokoun faced more traffic in his last loss and also had a goal scored on him by a deflection. To me, this isnt about how Vokoun has been playing, but more of a message being sent that if you win youre in.

Or he could just be giving Vokoun a break to get his head in the game. I wouldn't be shocked if Vokoun didn't play until Friday.

Semin being touted as a "game-time decision." Doubt he's in, personally, but he could bump Eakin out of the line-up if he does play.

What traffic was Vokoun contending with on the game winning goal scored by Kunitz?

No Vokoun. No Theo. Looks like the Panthers really screwed up this splash page.

Funny how this started as a battle of two goalies against their former teams. Now we're getting Clemmenson (sp?) vs. Neuvirth haha..

EDIT: beaten to it

Forget coming in peace and wishing good luck, I hope you guys lose, and lose badly.

Florida is in the Caps rightful top spot. Time to get a meaningful SE division rivalry going.

I have no idea who these guys are anymore. Its start from scratch territory with me. Until I see some break out the Caps top end players are all nothing special except possibly for Backstrom. The honest middle of the lineup guys dont matter if the top end isnt performing unless you have no top end and are going to play a nashville/nj style strangle game.

I have no idea if they are even better than the Panthers anymore.

To be fair, the top line played well last game. 1 goal from Nicky, and another from Brouwer off an awesome pass from Ovi. So hopefully they keep it going. I'm more concerned about the second line doing absolutely nothing. Mojo had a couple of very good chances.

I'm with you... Semin has been hot and cold and Eakin clearly isn't ready for a full-time top-6 role this year. MoJo's been up and down as expected from a second year player. But it can be hard to win when one of the supposed scoring lines isn't doing much. Knuble seemed to help... Still think the ideal second line without a trade is 28-90-22.

i hope for a few goals today, at least 5 shots on goal from ao... also i will keep watching the transition game, they need to create some puck position in the offensive zone a few times in a row.
