I would expect them to largely stand pat on anything. They don't really have the pieces to sell to buyer's that wouldn't hurt them in the long run, and they can't afford the pieces that the sellers will be selling in my opinion.
I think Jones could be dealt. Quincey possibly but only if they get a nice offer.
If they've already had discussions with JMac and Winnik but they want too much than I could see them moving either one instead of losing them for free in the summer. I really hope we re-sign both though, they are good bottom six players.
Not much, nor should they. Making the playoffs would be a huge plus and even winning the first round was most likely not an achievable goal for this team heading into the season.
I do think the Avs will be in on the "Big deadline players" like every team in the NHL with the cap for them, but I'd be shocked if we actually got them.
I still think that Colorado will mostly stand pat on it's roster, with only minor moves and signing guys, until the new CBA has been ratified.
As much as the entire fan base, including myself, wants to see a signing like Parise or Suter; I don't think it's part of their plan. Get Duchene, O'Reilly, Johnson, Mueller, Winnik, McClement and Galiardi (at least) under contract. They have to see if Hejduk wants to return next year. Once all of that happens a better idea will be had as to what needs to happen with the roster.
Do Quincey, O'Byrne, and O'Brien come back?
How about Jones and McLeod?
As little confidence and loyalty as a lot of fans have to particular players... I hope the organization want to keep players around that want to be here and deserve to be here.
Lots of bigger questions about the team than this years trade deadline.

I foresee Quincey getting a new contract. O'Byrne, Jones, and McLeod should all be on the market, providing that there are traders willing to part with anything of value.
Stastny is the big question mark. Do we stick with him or do we trade him for solid players + rebuilding pieces? I think if it's an offer that will blow Sherman away, then Stastny is as good as gone.
The Avs have consistently been saying they will dip and dig deep into the FA pool when the next CBA clears up. In the meantime, I suppose they won't be trading for big name players at the deadline and would rather be doing the selling.
i wouldnt be surprised to see something similar to the wolski-mueller deal. avs will look to move a decent player they dont see as part of the future for someone in a similar situation elsewhere.

I agree on maybe moving Jones for another winger that isn't working out elsewhere, apart from that I don't see much happening, we don't have a whole lot to work with since our top picks went for Varlamov.
I was going to say absolutely nothing, but reading through everyone's posts, I could see a Jones trade going down. But that is all I feel could happen besides a minor league trade.

I see minor or lateral moves, the team is in the thick of things, they can't risk making a big trade that may ruin team chemistry, and they aren't losing enough to make them sellers. I could see them making a few moves to shore up on depth, maybe a really old veteran winger.
