Im not saying it wont happen...but its not like Quebec is forced to move a goalie...Veronneau cost a 7th...small price to pay for an insurance policy...

Im sure early in the trade period Quebec was thinking about moving Brassard...but im guessing they have switched gears to Domingue...

There's a rumor that Duclair is out for a while (on top of Barnard and Sorensen)

A number of reports on Twitter that the Gatineau Olympiques have traded forward Christian Ouellet and defenseman Mathieu Gagnon to the Saguenéens of Chicoutimi. In return Gatineau gets a first round pick in 2013, a 2nd round pick in 2013, a 3rd round pick in 2012, a 4th round pick in 2012 and the 17 year-old defenseman, Mickael Beauregard. JF Plante is reporting that Chicoutimi is working to acquire a 2012 1st round pick to replace the one in 2013.

**blink**

Umm... So what's the deal with this Beauregard guy?

Edit - Oh crap, it's that guy from Saint John last year! Well... That's a pretty good return.

How many draft picks do we have now? I've lost track.

I dont see why Quebec has to move a goalie...Brassard is 17....Domingue is 19 and drafted...likely will turn pro next year...

Fan of both teams sorta, I was a juniors fan, and they moved.

Ive been a Seadogs fan since 07-08.

Those are Milan's sticks...they use the same model.

And that Beauregard is Michael, Alex's younger brother, who is a D.

I heard that the Caps checked Galiev's wrist lately and do not want him to play anymore this season in order to speed up the healing.

That would make a serious dent into SJ's 2nd line....

The Dogs might be now looking for some more forwards....

Hum!

I wonder what they would offer for O'Brien....

And I heard he is suppose to be back at the end of January.

And he posted on Twitter why someone never asked him when he was coming back compared to Huberdeau (crack at the Russia-Canada game)

I'm confident he will be back.

I would like to see a source on this because last I heard he was going to return this month and that was recent. Also, he plays first line.

Hmm... It seems you're right. In that case, I'm again curious as to what this guy's deal is.

Also, I'm still waiting for the other shoe to fall between Hull and Val-d'Or. Castonguay for only a 9th round pick seems odd to me. I think more is coming.

What would Val-d'Or want for the Henleys?

i'm pretty sure that Castonguay deal is final.

Castonguay just wasn't in the plans for Gatineau anymore. He made a lot of mistakes defensively and was always injured. Groulx just basically took anything he could for him.

I'm not sure... Trading Ouellet makes me think that Groulx isn't done fiddling with the offence yet. I mean, the D'Aoust trade and the tremendous success of Adam Chapman's call-up sort of made Ouellet expendable, but I can't help but feel like there's something else coming.

If we could somehow pry the Henleys out of Val-d'Or without giving up Pageau, our team gets a lot tougher up front immediately, and I can't imagine that they wouldn't make great linemates for either Pageau or Soumakis.

Maybe Groulx is looking to fiddle more, but that Castonguay deal is final. He's not worth anything more than what Gatineau got for him.

Groulx is aiming for a 2013-2014 run.. so he's getting tons of 17 year olds right now. He just traded this morning for 16 year old Mathieu Boily (Québec) this morning. All the other players he's trading for are 17. Lots of our forwards are already 16 or 17. Groulx is planning so that everything falls into place in 2 years.

I really don,t see the Piques giving anything substantial to get Cédrick Henly (who's 19). Samuel (18) could be interesting if the price was right, but i doubt we'll see that deal as it hasn't even been rumoured or discussed by anyone, and i don't see why Val d'Or would trade him for close to nothing.

This morning's trade:

Mathieu Boily (16, 6'5, 214lbs) goes from Québec to Gatineau along with a 2013 7th round pick for a 4th round pick.

That trade seems a bit weird to me. Why would Roy do this?

What's everyone think of the Moose trading Desjardins and 2 2nd round picks to Quebec for Duke, and a 1st.

Also, it's rumoured that Quebec will trade a 2013 2nd for a 2013 3rd.

I knew those two would trade, I
thought Drouin would be going the other way.

Wow, Halifax is lucky, I'm glad those 2 have been reunited, but I'm stunned that Dukey was traded.

Halifax is scary !

Edit: I thought Duclair was moved my bad !!!!!

Never heard of Duke !0
