Round 14

- Columbus prospect Joakim Lindström scored his first goal of the season, about time
- Magnus Åkerlund was very good in his SEL debut with HV 71, stopping 22 saves, allowing 2 goals and winning against Linköping
- Dragan rules

Thanks for the info. How bad is the concussion? And what role did he have in the team?

17-year old defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson (one of my favorites for next year's draft) made his SEL debut with HV 71 tonight. Not only did Hjalmarsson experience a win in his first game, but was also named the best player of the game.

The 2005 draft seems pretty top heavy for Sweden. Looks like quite a few guys with really good upside compared to the last couple years.

Man I hate those kind of interviews, why would Dan Boyle know what a Dalahäst is and who eats surströmming anyway? Then to ask which Swedish group played a certain song and surprise surprise, it's ABBA. Dan Boyle must think we're stupid or something..

How about the hosts opening line? Heartly welcome..

Could somebody give a bit of a scouting report on Dragan Umicevic? Strengths, weaknesses, potential... that kind of stuff would be great.

Malmö has decided to reward their fans for their loyalty and punish their players for their sloppy play by replacing Björn Kinding as coach with Dan Hobér. Some players were apparently on the verge of throwing up after the first practice...

Henrik Lundqvist had his second straight shutout tonight, stopping all 37 (!) shots against Brynäs. The other day he stopped 31 shots against MODO.

Dang, he is talented. Hopefully the NYR can take good care of him... hmmz

Emil Kåberg's 199 PIM breaks the SEL record... for the 2nd straight season. Oduya broke it last year, when i think it was previously held by Stefan Bergkvist. somebody must have spiked the water in Sweden these days, what with the rough play and all

You got to love Kåberg, it's impressive that a player with such lack of talent can be as important to a team that he is. If Ledin can become a national team player, so could Kåberg.
