Patrick O' Sullivan

was just placed on waivers today by Phoenix. was thinking maybe we should take a run at him since hes cheap along with only 1yr left on his contract and we are having a plethora of injury issues. ik hes not an offensive powerhouse but id be willing to give him a shot. i mean if worst comes to worst we can just waive him again right?

thought???

I've always liked him but I worry about how many times this guy has bounced around and been waived.

There's a reason he hasn't stuck with teams or organizations. He's just not as good as people thought he would be.

I'd take him for Rochester though.

They call him POS for a reason and it;s not because of his name.

No thank you.

I'd be more tempted to sign Sundher or Catenacci and call one of them up on an emergency recall basis.

No thanks. I'd much rather bring Ben Maxwell into the fold...I really liked what i saw from him in his limited time in ATL last year...skates well, very solid 2-way, down low and along the boards

Yeah, I like Maxwell too. In a limited role, seems like someone they could use given their injuries.

No, emergency recalls are rare and you have to have a good reason for requesting one (such as someone being injured in the morning skate and the junior player being closer than any AHL players).
It's not realistic so I have no idea why it was even suggested.

I'd take that risk.
This kid only needs the riight linemates to be effective. If you look at his highlights, you can see that he has a great shot.
Despite averaging only 9 minutes a game on the 4th line with the yotes, he was still 2 of 3 on shootouts. And being good on shootouts might earn a team a few extra ponts in the standings. Every point counts.

WPG claims Ben Maxwell on waivers from ANA. Patrick O'Sullivan (PHX) clears waivers.
