If we can outscore the Bruins in the 2nd period I think we have a good chance of coming out on top in this game. The reason I say that is because Boston probably has the best forecheck in the league, and that can be a pain in the 2nd when you have the long shift. If we're able to have few mistakes in that regard and are able to take advantage of it then I think our chances greatly increase. Just a theory.

OT: It's freakin' December and I'm wearing shorts down here and just opened my window because it's too hot in my house. And this is coming from someone who gets cold fairly easily. Yeah, it gets hot down here, but this is beyond ridiculous. I can't remember a time when it was even close to this warm in December. I imagine it's pretty cold up there right about now. Talk about a difference in weather.

It's actually only about -3C (26F) right now, which is pretty nice for us this time of year. That's without the windchill though.

Given the circumstances, we have a solid chance of beating the best team in the league tonight. So very, very excited.

Haha it's 26F right now, the wind is making it feel like 12 degrees. -3 in Celcius, -11 with wind.

Here's to a great game tonight. It's certainly got trap written all over it for the B's.

Also as others have said, Welcome back!! Now if QC can get their team back things will be right in the hockey world again.

I'll actually be happy if you guys boo Seguin. When he was asked about the Garden crowd booing and "thanking Kessel" he smiled and thought it would be awesome to one day be booed in another team's barn

I think you guys would be the first. Sure there was/is a smattering of boos when he plays the Leafs but your building seems to be nearly as loud as Montreal's so he'd really hear it

Not going to make any excuses if we lose tonight and I'd actually not mind having our point streak ended by the Jets. As long as it isn't the Habs or the Leafs

Here's to a good game!

Boston on a 1 month winning streak.
Just played the Pens in a very fast, tough game.
On the road for an extended period.
Flew in late last night.
No practice time.
Might be underestimating the Jets, given where we are in the standings.

I think ...

(or at least I hope so. )

Then again, they're an insanely good team. Hopefully the Jets put in a full 60 tonight - if not, it could get ugly.

I used to not like Boston fans.

After today, I think they are one of the classiest fanbases around, especially considering they GET THE BOO'ING and won't whine and cry about it afterwards.

So is Klingberg going to see more than 5 minutes of ice time tonight? I sure hope so.

Why even call him up if he is essentially going to just sit on the bench?

You don't visit the main board much, do you? Not saying they are bad or anything, but some of the guys that go on the main board a lot are quite...interesting.

HUGE game today. If we can beat Boston, not only do we go above .500 for the first time this season, but we'll end their lengthy undefeated streak and prove to the rest of the league that we're a playoff contender.
It's going to be a tall task but I think we can do it. We played Boston tough a couple games ago, the MTS Centre should be rocking, and Kane/Little/Wheeler are playing excellent. If Pavs has another solid game (which I'm sure he will have) I see no reason why we can't wind this one. Either way I expect it to be close.

Go Jets Go!
