I'm not surprised that Tootoo was suspended and paying for Lucic's stupidity.. I don't mind that Tootoo got suspended it's just that Lucic should have got 2-3 games for his hit on Miller also.. The NHL and consistency certainly don't belong in the same sentence..

Shanney is just another NHL puppet.. Different face same big pile of feces as before but considering who his boss is nothing surprises me with the inconsistencies still happening...

The only thing I could see as an explanation for the suspension is that miller was out of his crease against boston and in it against nashville but again....

"Consistency" isn't the right word, "bias" is more like it. It is blatant that they pick and choose whose actions get made an example of and whose actions they bend over backwards to explain away.

Really sad to see such corruption in such a great game.

I'm watching the Bruins-Pens game again and got a chance to see that Paille hit on Malkin over and over again. Other than the fact he plays for the Bruins, any reason why Paille won't get suspended for that? Seriously, he targeted Malkin's head with his helmet. Never seen that before. What's the difference between that and targeting the head with a shoulder or elbow??

What an embarassment of a league this has become.

Sure Miller was in his crease for the Tootoo hit, but unlike Tootoo Lucic made no apparent attempt to avoid Miller where as you can argue that Tootoo was 1. Partially shoved by the Sabres defenseman and 2. Tried to jump over Miller as an attempt to avoid him (its natural instinct in this case). Lucic made no such attempt, infact you can clearly see the point in time where decides instead of letting Miller just make the play he changes his mind and lifts his arms up chest high with the intent of laying Miller out. Wasn't Chara spared for lack of intent? Clearly Lucic intended to hurt the goalie.

Just more bias. Lucic spared, Tootoo pays the price, Chara spared, Pacioretty pays double the price. ****ing joke.

Watching the replay, it's clear Tootoo was trying to jump over or at least mitigate a violent contact with Miller. LOL at the suspension. This hit is 10x less severe and less bad-intentionned compared to the Lucic hit.

It's clear this league is biased. But of course, in the Western world, it's taboo to say that. You'll be quickly tagged as a "conspiracy theorist". That's partly how they control the sheeple: make it so that the word "conspiracy" has a huge negative connotation. --sorry, end rant--

Miller overracted there due to the Lucic hit. If the Lucic hit never happened, Miller would have stayed cool, guaranteed.

The Paille hit on Malkin, I don't think it was intentional though.

If the Lucic hit on Miller had never happened this would be a non issue and any penalty called in the game would have been the end of it.. Tootoo was only suspended because of that dumb **** Lucic's stupidity which Shanny knows he made a mistake on by not suspending him after the fact..

Tootoo is just paying the price for what Lucic should have received in the first place and will lose 2 games worth of salary over it.

So if shanahan thinks he made a mistake do you think the next time lucic pulls another dirty shot he will vote to suspend or explain it away again? I know where my money would be.

Paille went in awkwardly but it looks incidental.

It's very simple. Jacobs the Bruins owner has let Shanny know he is Bettman's boss therefore Shanny's boss as well. Bruins continue getting favoritism. And before a Bruin comes along and mentions Paille suspension last year I considered that a token suspension because Hab fans raised so much hell that caused the league to suspend a Bruin after Chara's dirty hit.

I agree with the suspension, just like I did with the suspension on Pacioretty.

But here I am again saying, "I hope Shanahan can stay consistent now with these types of calls."

Good luck with that. Shanny is proven himself to be just as inconsistant or much worse.

And the Jets stop the Bruins streak to 15 games 14-0-1

Good for them, but they now tie us in points and have a game in hand

How is that a good thing? Now the jets are two points behind us with two games in hand. Unless you're cheering for a top 5 pick.

Then in the same night David Booth gets nothing for an almost identical play.

Shanny's only scapegoat is the fact that Tootoo was given a 5 minute major on the play for no reason other than it was Miller he hit.
