Nice seeing Briere fail with the game in his hand.

Wow, the NHL truly is rigged and this time they tried to screw the rangers over. Absolute BS calls against them. Good for them that they won. Hartnell is a puke. Good game by McDo.

Why did Callaghan try to get the stick off his shoulder? Uhhhh...cuz there was a stick hooking his shoulder! When the flyers fans were chants "refs you suck", they were right, although biased in their favour.

I wonder how toilette will posture for the cameras in his last performance in front of the 24/7 crew.

With the Sens tying it with 6 mins left in the 3rd, is there a 3 point game in Ottawa coming up?

I missed a part of the game but why was Jagr benched after his 2nd shift in the 2nd?

He was on the bench and never seemed to get treated for anything. He also looked pissed.

From tsn.ca

Quote:
The Flyers ended the game without Jaromir Jagr, their star forward who played only a minute in the second period before leaving the game for good. The 39-year-old Jagr, a former Ranger, said after the game he injured his left leg and expected to return soon.

Suspensions, a way to take a break in a so rigorous season?

The NHL admitted to have followed Raffi Torres closely in the last 3 games since the guy was throwing multiple barely legal hits.. I was wondering how much does it hurt someone who makes alot of money to get a 3 games suspension taking in consideration how rigorous and loaded a 82 games season is?

The NHL wanted a cleaner league hiring Shanny to put some order in that zoo but we are actually seeing the opposing effect, still no respect between players, alot of dirty hits and about all the same length suspension.. 2-3 games seem to be the standard.. still whats 2-3 games out for someone making millions? An opportunity to rest and spend some time with his familly, especially at this time of the year?

a lot of those are 'first time offenders'.

im willing to bet that if, for example, pacioretty, gets caught throwing an illegal hit again, it'll be more than the 2-3 games he got

I hate when the League does this "following a player" closely because he throws a few hits. I think Shannahan is getting overboard with this like he's obsessed.

Just put the headshot for suspension at 5. And then go out of the way and let these guys police themselves on the ice.

Yeah, if they just did their job they wouldn't need to follow they could just deal with stuff as it is sent to them. The refs seem to be doing a better job of calling an infraction than Shanny is this year They don't need Shanny following players around watching them, they just need Shanny to start actually doing his job properly in the first place.

I cant believe Torres still gets little suspensions, and sometimes even given the benefit of the doubt. Cooke is not even as cheap..
Shanny is even worse than Campbell.

Byron Bitz on waivers, he is ready to come back from injury, would he be worth claiming as a young 3rd or 4th liner?

And then rather than suspend them without salary, they should be suspended and be fined for the amount of the salary of the player they took out. How many guys would want to lose 5 games at Sidney Crosby's salary. It could cost some of the goons their entire year's salary.

Gomez would be safer, too.

In any case, it might make some guys think twice about cheap shots.

Leafs pick up Nicolas Deschamps from Anaheim. There was a time when he was on the radar of a lot of Habs fans.

Tampa Bay looking horrible again. Thought Guy Boucher was supposed to be the second coming. Can't wait to see Habs hire Boucher this summer.....that should guarantee a last overall finish and Nathan McKinnon.

Boucher isn't getting fired, Yzerman needs to wake up and find a goalie

Leafs win, Caps win, Sabres win and even the Islanders and Hurricanes got to OT.

The tank is looking even better
