He's as effective a defender as Kaberle except in shot blocking (which makes a significant difference, I know)

But he hits to hurt so he's therefore tough.

Tootoo just scored a nice goal for the Preds.. Atleast this time he didn't crash into the goalie..

WTH is wrong with the Ducks? The talent is there but they just plain suck..

That looked so absurdly harmless. I love when Orpik stops to think ''hmm I should put my hand on my face to make it look like something hit my head''.

They're saying Orpik's stick hit him in the face, that makes sense.

Is there no thread on the main board about Dorsett's ridiculous interference penalty?

Below average defensive corps, terrible bottom 6 forward offense. With the first line not nearly as dominant as it was last year, they are being exposed hardcore.

Well as a matter of fact his own stick hit him in the face. He was bloodied and needed stitches. Should not have been a penalty, but the guy really got hurt in the process.

i keep watching it but dont see where people say his own stick hit him. or was it somewhere else.

looks more like he got cut face planting his head into the ice trying to draw the penalty

Holmgren speaks candidly about injuries

(In regards to injuries to of his best players in the same game, Giroux and Bryzgalov) Here's Paul Holmgren answering every question precisely and genuinely, with none of the political double-speak Gauthier constantly uses. This folks, is what a real GM is supposed to sound like:

Part 1: http://www.klip.com/view/RJO4aS

Part 2: http://www.klip.com/view/kk9YZ7

I especially like the part how he notes how Pittsburgh continues to win without Crosby and Letang, and injuries are no excuse. This is the kind of GM the city of Montreal deserves.

I would add horrible goaltending to that as well. Hiller when he's on can be exceptional but he has just stunk.

Yeah I can't see his stick hitting him either. His glove maybe? Face on the glass is possible, or maybe he hit his nose when he plunged down.

I now know that Bruins players never do anything dirty, reading the main board. Their fans have become pretty good at defending everything their players do.

Single-handedly killing my fantasy team - goaltending wise.

Why is that? Because Foligno destroyed Hodgson?

I hate the Rags, and I hate how much the Gomez trade turned them around.

He pretty said he has no idea, doctors will evaluate him, same thing Martin says.

I think this is a perfect example of the grass being greener elsewhere.

Yeah, Brad Richards said he accepted to sign with them because Gomez was on their team... no more.

It's also because of Gomez that they buried Redden, got Girardi, Staal, Gaborik (could've simply bury Redden then), Callahan and Lundqvist...

Rangers win 6-1 and McDonagh is a -1...that's MAB calibre defense right there!

Still a very big over sell. The guy went down as if he got shot.

yup...

i don't see how you can defend PG's public communications... no doubt that were he the GM of the B's or Laffs, the vast majority of those posters adamant about defending him, would be taking shots at him.

eventually, i hope, the Habs ownership will take a close look around the professional sports world and the managers that have the most consistent success, & finally make a commitment to hire someone willing and capable to pursue excellence... saddly, it will probably take an even worse stretch of play then we've seen in the past decade before the $$/fan support drops enough to force their hand.

until then... melba toast is what we have running the team & melba toast is the results we can expect on the ice.
