Order would probably be slightly different if you asked me on a different day but currently for me it's:

1)Breaking Bad
2)Game of Thrones
3)House of Cards
4)Sons of Anarchy
5)Shameless
6)The Walking Dead
7)The Newsroom
8)Mad Men (I’m currently on season 4 so it could go up or down the list as I continue to watch)
9)Vikings
10)Dexter (probably shouldn’t even be on my list since this season has been terrible, but in the past it was amazing)

HM: Orange Is The New Black and Orphan Black

I really enjoyed the first season of Rectify as well

I agree. I made a list of 5

Breaking Bad
Game of Thrones
Boardwalk Empire
Parks and Rec
Homeland
Shameless
Community

There is a lot more shows I watch, but just as easily digestible stuff like Amazing Race, Survivor etc. There is other shows I need to watch (Mad Men, House of Cards), and stuff I watch that I wouldn't feel comfortable putting in my top 10 (Californication, Walking Dead). That being said Parks and Rec and Community would come in there as well I guess. Edited my list a bit

Before I got a DVR, and not including football or hockey games on tv, I probably didn't watch 3 hours of tv a week. Now? I watch WAY TOO many hours of tv. I couldn't possibly narrow my viewing list down to 10 current shows but I'll try later in the thread & reserve a right to not lock them in as final answers...

I will say though that Duck Dynasty is a show I have heard of but never watched... until recently I had assumed it was a cartoon on the Disney Channel.

Only in the ballpark of the current, within the last few years but whatever-- these are shows that I paid attention to in the last little while and how much I generally enjoyed them.

1. Louie - 5 (I just love it, and every time I watch it, I feel like television is evolving to more interesting heights)
2. Breaking Bad - 3.5 or 4 (damn damn solid)
3. Luther - 3.5 (damn solid, but not as much my kind of thing)
4. Arrested Development Netflix - 3.5 (don't agree with the criticism-- as a final product, I think it's very impressive/fun)
5. Game of Thrones - 3.5 (bumped down from the last season)
6. Curb Your Enthusiasm - 3 or 3.5
7. Kids on the Slope - 3
8. Mad Men - 3 (only up to the 2nd/3rd season, but not loving it as much as others yet)
9. It's Always Sunny - 2.5 or 3 (still hilarious, but inconsistent)
10. Bob's Burgers - 2 (harmless fun with dose more care/fun/creativity than most of these types of shows)
11. Misfits -2 (trended downwards)
12. Community - 0.5 (fell off the face of the earth for me the last I saw it)

Been waiting for another show to really really blow me away, though. So far, only Louie's really done that for me. Have not tried Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards, or Homeland yet.

Homeland is #1 for me. Was really bummed with the second season until the "helicopter scene" in episode 6/7. Then it just took off at an incredible pace.

2. Game of Thrones (haven't read the books)
3. Mad Men (best acting on TV)
4. Sons of Anarchy (just plain fun)

All awesome shows.

I watch Dexter and Always Sunny too. They're ok but the old seasons are much, much better. Have to get into Breaking Bad.

1. Breaking Bad (based on what I've seen so far...I can't believe I wasn't on this hype train back in 2008 )
2. Suits
3. Homeland
4. Luther
5. Sherlock (BBC)
6. Mad Men
7. The Mentalist
8. Criminal Minds
9. Perception
10. White Collar

You can pretty much tell which genre I'm most in love with.

1. Breaking Bad
2. Mad Men
3. Game of Thrones
4. Bob's Burgers
5. True Blood
6. Californication
7. Sons of Anarchy
8. Homeland
9. HIMYM
10. Dexter

Sons of Anarchy, and Homeland, are the only two shows I didn't watch from day 1. Really felt like watching both series in weeks took away from the awesomeness of those 2 shows. But then again, really feel like I would've stopped watching SoA after the crap season they spent in Ireland. And Dexter, if not for the incredible first season and pretty entertaining bits from the rest, would be totally out of the top 10 for the crap they have going today. Deserves to be in the "worst of" lists at this point.

1.Breaking Bad
2.Boardwalk Empire
3.Game of Thrones
4.Newsroom

Big Drop off

5.Shameless
6.American Horror Story
7.The Walking Dead
8. Vikings
9.Always Sunny
10. Mad Men

Heard good things about Dexter, Homeland and House of Cards. After the first four I listed there is a drop off in quality. I will watch them but not as religiously as the others. If you don't have HBO or Showtime it's slim picking after Breaking Bad ends.

I watch four right now (and how much I like them in that order):

Breaking Bad
House of Cards
Shameless
Newsroom

Most people have a computer and internet. There is no such thing as 'slim pickings' anymore.
