Under the Dome

Looks like Stephen King's book of the same name will be made into a tv series of the same with an initial run of 13 episodes.

Under the Dome
Release Date: June 24th, 2013

The CBS series adaptation of Under the Dome will premiere on June 24th. The dramatic series will chronicle the lives of Chester's Mill's many residents as they struggle to survive under a mysterious dome cutting them off from the outside world.

Produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment and scheduled for an initial 13 episode run, Under the Dome is poised to be a major player on the summer TV landscape.

You can keep track of news and media related to the production and broadcast of Under the Dome using the "UTD on TV" News and Media Tracker at the link below.

I read the book AFTER I saw the Simpsons movie and I have to admit knowing the Simpsons movie ruined the book for me.

I hope the tv show has a guy riding a motorcycle in a cage in at least one scene...

Was a joke. My wife, who loves this stuff, said "That's enough" halfway through and turned it off.

Didn't mind it for one episode so far.

But yeah, Simpsons did it, Simpsons did it.

That cow getting cut in half by the dome coming down was some of the most laughable CGI I have ever seen on television.

The writing and acting in this show is beyond bad.

It's 'I want to punch my computer monitor' bad.

Kind of hope it runs only one season... I mean can they really make a 2nd season?

Very different and King had the story written well before the Simpson episode but put it aside for years before going back to it a few years ago and updating it.

I don't think it is meant to run a second season but I could be wrong.

Loved the book, hated the ending. I'm not so sure about the show, but giving it a chance.

I watched the first episode and it looked awesome. Hopefully I can find the time to start and finish the book before the season ends.

Yeah, that was funny.

The storyline with the kid holding his girlfriend hostage is beyond dumb. Have the radio people ever gone home yet?

Interested to see where it goes.

Watched the first three episodes in one sitting. Acting is subpar. CGI of the cow was bad. Hilarious amount of times they say 'in/under the dome'. Will continue to watch in hopes that the weird abductor guy dies.

No, it's just happening to the two kids. They also keep chanting the same weird phrase. You think the adults would have caught on to this.

Was it just me or when they were having the seizures, did it look like they were doing Gangnam Style?

Did anyone catch the last episode? Are things actually going to start happening? Also is it just me or are they ignoring the enormity of the situation?
