In an interview on IGN, the producers hinted that they may do a spin-off or an entire season of the show from the prospective of the mother once they wrap-up how Ted meets her.

Apparently, they also already recorded the ending of the show (with Ted's kids) years ago. So the kids already know how the show is supposed to end...

Bump....

Tonight episode was completely filler, did nothing to the overall story. Boring episode too.

haha, I have completely stopped watching this show. It's lost all it's charm. The British do it right, just a few seasons and then end it. Best way to go about business.

Yup. Pretty useless episode. I wish they would just wrap it up and get it over with.

Worst episode I have seen from HIMYM. Just wasn't entertained.

Yeah, they have dragged this on way too long now, it just isn't funny anymore.

All the great British comedies (Inbetweeners, Misfits, Blackadder etc.) only had a few seasons with 6-8 episodes each, that way the jokes don't die out quickly. Barney was hilarious in the first few seasons, then he just didn't do anything funny anymore because they got rid of the high fives and schemes for hitting on chicks because it got old and repetitive.

This show has had some great moments, amongst a ton of crap, so they should have just condensed it down into fewer seasons and got rid of the episodes which contributed nothing to the plot or just plain sucked.

I agree, this past episode was terrible. Not overly funny and no real advancement to the storyline.

The Ricky Gervais/Merchant collabos as well. Office/Extras/Life's Too Short are perfect in length. You want more, but, at the same time, you're satisfied.

Yeah, the great thing about most British shows is there are constant laughs throughout whereas in HIMYM there's just the odd laugh here and there. I know it's different because they are cartoons but it's evident in shows like Family Guy, South Park and the Simpsons that the producers have done so many episodes they've run out of ideas.

Seasons 1-3 of this show were quality TV. 4 and 5 were meh, and the last two have been awful overall with the odd decent episode.

The only episodes I've enjoyed lately were the ones with Victoria. I love her.

I'm really losing interest. It's not that I don't like the waiting for the Mom to come around, it's the bad plots each episode.

So the new story arc is just another old story arc?

The worst thing would be if at the end he reveals: Kids, I'm calling your mother aunt Robin because she's not really your mother and you're adopted.

I'm almost at the verge of giving up on this show. It seems like whoever is in charge is just planning for it to get cancelled so they can use the "Oh, and that's how I met your mother" last episode. Really wish they'd move away from repeating things.

Yea, Victoria is awesome. Plus, she reminded me of how good the first season was.

But Ted meets the mother at Barney's wedding...

Anyways, I guess Robin is going to remind Ted that he really wants kids and they shoudn't be together.
