Happy to see the stories they've moved along. I really am intrigued by Quin. I kind of hope she is the one for Barney. That plan was as epic as The Scubadiver.

New episode last night...it was another one which felt a bit of a filler.

Part way in it when they went forward 3 yrs and then again....I thought oh crap are they gonna do this every time with lame jokes? It got better but with this show I'm not looking forward to the next episode now as I am to just finding out what happens in the end and the show ending which is a shame because with a good comedy, you're supposed to hope for a new episode every week.

I liked it too. And I like that they keep inching Barney's relationship/growth forward. It actually feels like we're moving towards that wedding so that Ted can finally meet this woman.

This show keeps on dragging on and on, and apparently there are two more seasons after this.

It was a pretty good episode. Don't know how they're going to get the show to last two seasons more though.

I enjoyed that episode, especially when you look at Barney's changes.

Also liked Marshal's changes.

That was a "meh" episode imo. Good to see they got some of the story into the episode and it wasn't completely useless.

This was the most important part of the episode. It established an end to the series.

Anyone else kind of sad that you can't just have a self-contained sitcom episode without it being "filler" or "useless"?

Yes, everyone seems to hate filler but sometimes I like episodes of TV shows that have nothing to do with plot. Like on Seinfeld when they spend the entire episode at the restaurant waiting. Classic.

Ted's daughter was super cute and I loved the ritual of doing the trilogy. I need to start doing that with my friends.

there not--it has been made clear Robin is not the mother by the numerous times she has been refereed to as Auntie Robin

I'm getting sick of this Ted/Robin on again, off again romance. It is explained in the pilot episode that she's "Aunt Robin" and not the mother. So... what exactly is the point of making them date over and over again? This is like the fourth time.

EDIT: And I totally do a condolence five now.

And the fact she was told she isn't able to have kids.

But we've discussed all the possibilities, one could be they adopt and the kids know she isn't their real mother so that's why he calls her "aunt" and he's just telling the stupid story of how he met their biological mother

They could have done that procedure where his sperm is used to fertilize an egg and put it in another woman, I forget the medical name for that.

That also lead to another theory of mine, Ted could be a sperm donor for another couple, making him the biological father of those kids, and either the mother lets him visit them or they are close family friends, this also explains why she is "aunt Robin" though that theory got sort of spoiled when it showed Ted holding his daughter in a recent episode, but it's still possible.

I'm probably thinking way too deep into this, but I think we are going to be in for a massive shock when the story ends and it won't be a straightforward Ted meets the woman of his dreams and then that's it, that's too boring.

No, they are going to reconcile as friends. There is no more dating between them.

Barney/Robin still seems the most likely scenario right now, especially since Quinn now has a way out of the relationship with Bareny. They'll break up and we'll go back to Barney/Robin unfortunately.

I'll be very disappointed if she does end up with Ted, I'm just keeping open all the different possibilities.

I don't think Barney will end up with Quinn, he's has too much insecurity and jealousy because of her job. He will pick someone over here, linking back to the "choosing the right tie" thing at the wedding, whether it will be Robin or not we have to wait and see.
