lol no.

Let's review the goals:
(1) Gerbe giveaway
(2) Lazy dump-in; lazy play in own zone; no-one to bother the screening player.
(3) lolzy giveaway by Ennis; puck deflected off Ehrhoff
(4) pylons
(5) f***ing die Gragnani

You can chalk that up to a relatively soft schedule for the first part of the season.

If you look a little ahead, the fun really begins as more quality opponents line up.

Jeff Jillson, my friend, Jeff Jillson.

And we got him in the CuBro trade, damnit, Cubro was my favorite Sabre.

...

Anyways...

Honestly, I was surprised at how well they held their ground for 20 opening minutes, Giroux and Jagr were always gonna have some good looks at Miller with this D, especially since Ehrhoff wasn't as good as lately, basically left you with 25 minutes of Regehr/Sekera and 35 minutes of praying.

Ryan Miller, so good he can play a perfect game giving up 5 goals.

At this point last year, the "let's blow this mutha up" was the talk. The draft thread was churning along as the WJC's crept up.

Pretty much...I almost wonder if T Pegs came at the wrong time. Instead of blowing things up like it should've happened, he's been a gigantic bandaid in the side of the ship by bringing in the FA's, but the ship is already sinking. Almost wonder...

He wasn't perfect, but the Flyers could've easily scored 4 or 5 goals in the first 30 minutes alone. I would go as far to say he was dominant in the first half of the game. He's not innocent in the loss but he played well.

I really don't know if that was the issue. He seriously is a fan boy with rose colored glasses on; just as Lindy and Darcy are regarding their players. We all know that the previous regime wasn't getting rid of their puppet GM and Coach either.

Of course when TPegs asked higher ups in the league what they thought of Darcy and Lindy and they gave them A+'s across the board we should have known that TPegs was going to back them.

Bottom line: We need change and I just don't see it happening. There is just too much love inside that organization.
