Partially agree.

It's a different sport, yes, but I was more looking towards the players involved, not the salary.

I think Crawford can get back to being a .280 hitter. I think Gonzalez will be a perennial All-Star with the Dodgers. Beckett is iffy.

Also, I was under the impression at the time that Boston was paying a large portion of Beckett and Crawfords salary. So don't hate.

There's no comparison for Sens...

It'd be like... the Sabres trading Vanek, Leino, an injured-for-the-rest-of-the-season Ryan Miller, and a prospect for Berglund and some prospects, with the idea that the Sabres would re-load during the offseason.

But yeah. Can't compare MLB trades to NHL ones. This is more like an NBA trade, to be honest: moving a crazy-arse butt-ton of salary for peanuts so that they can sign the next big UFA in the offseason.

*edit* no hate intended

God damn it, why don't you read later posts that further explain it.

The original speculation was that Boston was paying for all of the contracts except Gonzalez and Punto.

I don't watch any football, unless it's the big championship games. But yeah, 52-0, would've been entertaining to just watch it. Will catch the highlights later .

Speaking of championship games, I nearly forgot my dad picked up two tickets to the Grey Cup this year in Toronto. Should be pretty cool, it'll be my second Grey Cup experience.

Seeing as Tony Romo is my Starting QB, DeMarco Murray is one of my starting RBs and Jason Witten is sitting on my bench... the Cowboys better rip up the Giants!

There is no way that's a team drafted from a 10-team league, unless the other 9 teams are mentally handicapped gerbils.

If that IS a real team in a real 10-team league, please send me an invite to this league next year.

What are the odds that two Sens fans are actually both Texans fans?

I'm a cowboys fan since birth. My dad told me I could cheer for any team in any league I wanted but the Senators and Cowboys were non negotiable when I was about 3 years old. He started cheering for them because of the cheerleaders

Jason Witten is out for tonight, for those that have him in fantasy football.

What time are we actually going to see kick off tonight, close to 8:45?

Pretty good I guess....

I remember years ago I used to get my draft hat every year at Clubhouse and they would maybe have 1 or 2... Now you see abit more Texans gear around the City....

Until you, the only other Texans fan I knew was from Toronto, a friend of my brother..

Are you as excited as I am this year? This is certainly a Super Bowl potential year. Heck, last year was as well but we had to face the legendary Ravens defense with a 3rd string QB. I'm not grieving the loss of Williams or Ryans at all, more excited to see Barwin and Reed along with Cushing. If we can get at least one CB other than Joseph to step up, we'll once again have a Top 3 defense in the league, and if Schaub can be DECENT we could go far.

Yeah im definately pumped for the year. Im just hoping for no major injuries and they should be fine. Schaub is the least of my worries. He will have a solid year. Right side of the OL and young WR's are my biggest concern.

Canada putting in a decent performance against Panama in World Cup qualifying. 0-0 at half time.

Canada really, really needs a win here. Makes things much harder going forward without three points. As usual with Canada, absolutely no goal scorers. Finishing will always be an issue.
