Also just to clear up, I didn't realize Walter was no longer a mod. My above post was purely satirical, Walt seems like a good guy. Why he was replaced, I don't know.

Celtic Note, though... Had to look you up to see that you're Zundo. With that being the case, another great choice.

Wow, either I've totally been asleep or I missed the memo that Celtic Note is the new version of Zundo. Either way, congrats to you both!

Also - good to see you posting more regularly again, PocketNines. I haven't been posting long but I've been lurking for quite a while and I remember you. Always good to have another quality contributor around these parts.

I can tell you guys, there is no upside to being a mod, other than helping to ensure that our team's board doesn't descend into chaos too often.

I moderate in two other places that shall remain nameless, and I can agree with this completely. It takes a lot of time and patience to moderate well, and this place does it much better than most.

Yep...I've been part of rule enforcement for a few online games as well as some forum moderation in the past (at other locations). It's not the 'glorious status' that so many people think it is.

Anyway, congrats to Celtic Note and STL fan in IA! Good luck with your new duties.

Fat chance! I tend to get testy and subsequently smacked down. You'll see.

Iowa is a real "pro" in terms of evaluating young talent. 2MM has always been the super even-keel Mod. Wallie has been a whole different kind of Mod, but both were upgrades to the past Mods of IB and P_B, who were good, although burned out. Celtic, aka Zundo, is a rather upbeat kind of member.

sort of, I was a mod of a soccer board a couple years back, not nearly as fun as people make it out to be.
